Recent Membership Drive In late May, the Conservancy sent introductory letters out to all Grosse lie households. Although the Conservancy was established in 1993, many residents are not familiar with it. Some thought we were a local arm of the nationwide "Nature Conservancy"; we're not. Others thought we were part of the township's Open Space program; we're not. We are an independent non-profit organization dependent on membership contributions to accomplish our goals. The board decided this was a good time to "get the word out" to all who were not familiar with us. To our current members - we apologize for contacting you in this way. To make the project cost effective, we had to include every Grosse Ile household in the mailing. You are in our membership database and we haven't forgotten about you! If you've been a faithful member, but are not currently contributing, please know that we still need you! Though these are difficult economic times, we ask that you continue to support GINLC by making a contribution appropriate for you. To see if your membership is up-to-date, please look at the mailing label on this newsletter. It will show the last or current year of your paid membership.
Recently we added the option of receiving donations by credit card and by PayPal. So, when it's time to renew your membership, or if you want to make a special donation for a memorial or honorarium, you can do it quickly and easily at our secure website, if you prefer.
