They live in packs of about 8 to 35 members. the leader of the pack is called the alpha.
Grey wolves, like maned and red wolves, mate for life. Usually only the alpha pair breeds. Pups are born blind. Other females in the pack help to take care of newborn pups. Within 3 to 5 months, the young pups would be able to travel with the pack.
Grey wolves live in Rome(Italy). Spain, France, Poland, Germany, and the former Soviet Union, Finland, Norway and Sweden. Grey wolves are highly adaptive animals that is why they are able to live in many different places which have different weather conditions.
There are only about 2,500 grey wolves.
