The comic-book to movie transfer is always a compromise. It's true that a movie based on a comic book character just can't make everyone happy. The director will either alienate the core readers of their favourite comic, or he will stick too close to the comic, thus alienating mainstream moviegoers. Tim Burton's "Batman" may be one of the only exceptions to this rule. HIS SITE: This is a simple fan page about all of the Batman movies, animated and live action, and some things that were spawned by them, like video games etc. There is also a section about the old live-action versions of Batman (40's and 60's). This is not a news site, for news check Jett's Batman on Film or the German Batman News (if you don't understand German download a translating program). |
