Doug and William's 2010 St. Vincent/Bequia Trip
In July of 2010 Doug and William went to St. Vincent for one week and then met up with a team from Chatham Bible Church in Bequia, a smaller island just south of St. Vincent. In St. Vincent we worked to encourage young men that our family worked with when we lived there in 2002 and 2003. In Bequia the team did two afternoon VBS's in the churches pastored by Pastor Cato, and an evening meeting with the teens about sexual purity.                                 Our homepage      Our 2002-2003 St Vincent Trip

Our desire for this trip was to bring honor to God by sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ and encouraging folks who have placed their faith in Jesus Christ to live according to the principles of the Bible so they can honor God as well as experience His best for their lives.

Here is a picture of William with his friend Raydon, one of the young men that Doug and William were looking for. We also were able to find Enrico, Jamal, CJ, Conroy, Kamara, Romaldo, Cusmore, and Shaquille. These were all young men our family worked with in 2002 and 2003. Please be praying for these young men that the things that we spoke with them about when we were there would be used by the Holy Spirit to help them grow in their relationships with and obedience to Christ.

This is a picture of Jamal and some of his cousins. Jamal now lives all the way up at the north end of the island. We took a 1 hour van ride up there to find him and God really blessed us in letting us find him. Please pray he would be going to a good church on a regular basis.

In Bequia we did two VBS's. This is the one at Port Elizabeth. Doug was at this one. William was at the other one in Paget Farm.
Please pray for the kids who heard the gospel to continue to think about it and that they would remember God's attributes about which we taught them.

Please pray for Reon, above, with whom William shared the gospel.

In the evenings the team did teen meetings with the youth in Bequia. The topic was sexual purity. This is the meeting with the young men.

One evening our team split up into smaller groups and went to eat dinner with various families from the churches. Here is a picture of William and his group with the family they ate with.

I know that this is a small summary of our trip, but I hope it gives you a small idea of what we did in Bequia and St. Vincent.  We are very thankful for your prayers and financial support.  We are praying that God will use, for years to come, the effects of this trip in our lives and the lives of the many people with whom we worked.
