Comments: one of my all time favorite movies! i adore Kiki, she's very true-to-life and a wonderful heroine. At heart a simple coming-of-age/finding-your-place story Kiki avoids cliche, instead being a breath of fresh air for a tired (but true) formula. Kiki makes me want to be a witch, Ursula makes me want to be an artist, even Osono makes me want to bake! but in the end Kiki's Delivery Service just makes me happy to be me in all my uniqueness, that's the lesson Kiki learns and that's the lesson she teaches. the animation is beautiful, just stunning in some places (and i'm not one to notice, so it must be something special!!). the Disney dub is quite well done. i'm a subtitle girl normally, but some dubs are done right and this is one of them. simply a charming, delightful, inspiring movie.
