He rode swiftly through the Old Forest, curious as to why he was summoned. Once he reached the heart of Rivendell, the meeting place, his eyes searched the perimeter, surprised that his old friend Gandalf was present. Approaching, he nodded his head in greeting before turning to the woman. ‘Lady Galadriel, why do you summon me?’
She looked upon him, ‘Legolas Greenleaf, your help is needed once again. I’m afraid Middle Earth is in danger once more.’
‘But the ring, it was destroyed.’
‘Yes. It is another danger of which I speak.’
‘Old friend…’ Gandalf started, ‘It seems there was another ring created. One of hope, peace, and light. We must find it before the darkness does. It can be made to change sides…to lose it’s purity.’
‘Where do we find it?’
‘It is somewhere else. A place where not one of us has gone, with the exception of it’s maker.’
Legolas glanced at him with confusion on his handsome features. ‘So we must go to this unfamiliar place?‘
Gandalf shook his head, ‘Naught my friend. It must be made to come to us.’
‘How can it be so?’
‘It lies on a world parallel to our own. You are the key, Legolas. Only you hold the magic to call to the ring.’
‘Forgive me, but I am lost Gandalf. How am I the key you speak of?’
‘The wearer of the ring and you are connected. It is said that two warriors of each world must join to defeat the evil. You are one of those two Legolas. The other is a descendent of it’s maker.’ When he was sure Legolas was listening, he continued. ‘There is but one problem I forsee. In the ring bearer’s world they know about us and the fellowship of the ring.’
‘What!?’ Legolas was shocked, ‘But how?’
‘They believe it is all fiction. That it is make-believe. In that world, we are seen as simple people playing a part for an audience. What they don’t know is that our world is just as real as their own.’
‘And this could be a problem?’
Gandalf nodded gravely, ‘The ring bearer might not believe in the truth of your quest. Our quest. It is imperative we capture their assistance. Without it, we will surely fail.’
‘How are we connected? And how do I call the ring here?’
‘Your souls are connected through ways of magic, those of which I have no knowledge. To truly call the ring and it’s bearer here, you must believe in the power and look deep within yourself.’
‘Legolas,’ Gandriel cast her eyes upon him, ‘You must look in the mirror. To see the past, present, and what is yet to come. This knowledge will help you find the way.’
Legolas nodded and followed the wise Lady elf to the mirror, watching her pour mystical water into the basin. As he stared into the abyss, he saw first parts of the fellowship’s journey with Frodo, the final destroying of the ring, which swiftly changed into present times. There he saw himself fight amongst the rest of the fellowship, his old friends, against an immense army of Orcs. He could see himself falling…deep into the darkness as the silver ring of goodness was changed, it’s wearer destroyed brutally. With a gasp, he turned to Galadriel. ‘I know that I can forever change the events that I have seen...those that have yet to happen. Of the things I must look out for. But why did it not show me the face of that whom I am to join?’
Galandriel smiled, ‘It must not yet be time.’
‘Gandalf, we must rouse the others. The fellowship must join in order to defeat this evil.’
Gandalf nodded, ‘I expected as much. Already I have alerted the others. Those that will meet us, will do so at Lorien and head for Mordor with us once more to fight against this evil.’
Once Lady Galandriel was thanked, the duo set off towards Lorien.

Whew…there’s chapter 1….please let me know what you think, suggestions, anything…And keep in mind that this is FICTION and I am not including anything that happened after the ruling ring was destroyed (Epilogue). So basically, pretend you never read that part..K? Okay. Lol.
