Episode 21; The Mark Of The Xephon: No Information Yet. Episode 22; Mission Jupiter Annihilation: Helena questions what Makoto is doing, but Barbem says he's insignificant, and its 'her turn'. Makoto fires Haruka upon finding a bad picture she drew of him. He gets orders to go ahead with his plans from the Alliance. Megumi goes to get Haruka's stuff and is given a small book from Kim who held it for her. She is shocked to find a picture of Haruka with Ayato inside. Ayato sees Kunugi, who has Momaru's cat. He reveals that what Itsuki told him about his cherry blossoms were untrue. Rikudo and Watari talk at the shrine about Maya. Rikudo says Ayato's time as a human is running out. Haruka talks to Sayoko who reveals that she killed her father and brother, tricked by the Barbem Foundation into thinking they'd be safe. Ayato asks Haruka to be the first to look at his soon to be finished painting. Terra's forces get ready for Operation Downfall. They fire as planned and the barrier around Tokyo Jupiter is destroyed. As soon as Ayato finishes his work Mishima appears to him. Another Ayato appears to Quon as well. She reveals that she is Orin's companion in Yortewater, the image of Rah's song, similar to love. The other Ayato asks Quon to become one with him, and they appear over her black egg. Ayato is upset that Mishima is not who he thought she was. Mishima asks Ayato to come with him through Yortewater and become the heart of the world. Ayato refuses, Mishima tells him she'll go ahead without him. She sings and RahXephon sprouts wings and breaks out on its own. Makoto is ecstatic over his success but Murian fortresses start appearing all over the world, no longer trapped inside the barrier. Quon's egg cracks and a black wing comes out. Ayato cuts up his painting to stop Mishima, and RahXephon turns to stone, its wings vanishing and a giant egg entraps it. Makoto is fired by the Alliance for ignoring the risks of the Operation and going on with the Operation. He screams out for Haruka, but no one knows whose he's talking about. Quon and her egg are back in Barbem's headquarters, but Barbem is nowhere to be found, only Helena, with his voice... |
