I've Come a Long Way Baby
Welly, welly, welly. As you may have seen on the opening page, I am officially changing my modus operendi (or however you spell that, I'm too tired and lazy right now to actually look up the correct spelling for some greek phrase that means "mode of operations") of this here website. I started writing the semi-humorus articles related to Star Wars way, way back a couple of months ago. Those were the days, I was heavily inspired by some great humor websites that I had (and still do)been reading, and by my enthusiasm for the Episode II release. For a week there, I wrote an article a day. I was hot stuff. I was the coolest dude ever.
And then reality caught up with me. Nobody was visiting my site, no matter how hard I plugged it. School work over-rode my internet time. My mommy said that my writing was juvinielle (I don't know how to spell that either) and that she was dissapointed in me. The internet humor articles that I read so regularly got progressively more funny, as mine weren't really all that great. I started to loose interest in a site that nobody reads. So I stopped.
Eventually though, I found another use for this page. Storage. You see, I am in a "band," and I uploaded a few MP3's for people to listen to on the site. I also am something of a film maker, and plan on uploading pictures and clips of any of the movies that I'm working on for people to see.
I guess you could say I have sold out to the man. Yes. If you consider the man to be laziness and procrastination. If you do, then I have not only sold out, I have traded my soul. My number one favorite thing to do is to sit and stare at the wall. Good times. Good times.
Anyways, I still love Star Wars, and I will update this little rant page from time to time. It probably won't be about Star Wars all the time, since there are other people that have written a lot about it better than I can. The archives will stay open, and while not a single one of them is a great piece of writting, a few still make me smile (especially this one; I still think it's pretty cool). Maybe I have inspired some of you (my one or two dear readers) to strike up Star Wars related conversations, or to re-think and re-analyze some of your favorite movies to find the inherent comedy in them. Because, my friends, that is really what my intent was all along.
Here are a few websites that I recommend for articles. You may find some of the writting style of some of them familar. This is no coincidence (I think the runner of this column is that I can't spell). You've heard that imitation is the highest form of flattery, right? Well, I've really been flattering some of these guys then. Anyways, here you go:
--> The Meathead Perspective--Humorous articles about the band Nine Inch Nails. Great stuff.
--> Snide Remarks --Columnist for the Herald Newspaper Provo, UT. Very funny guy.
--> X-Entertainment --Very funny tri-weekly articles involving "nostalgia" products. He's written plenty o' good stuff on TMNT, Star Wars, and Star Brite cereal (yes it did exist).
So, I hope that in reading those articles, you might forget about the lack of constant Master Knotty updates. Anyways, like I said, I am tired, so I shall call it a night.
Oh yes, take a look at the films page. It has a brand new clip from our brand new movie, Tabula Rasa.
This is Master Knotty, signing off. And though the Tappet brothers go screaming out thier recording booth like hens in may everytime I say this, may the force be with you.
