Chapter 3
The next morning, I awoke to an
empty bed. I sat up and saw Jessie getting
dressed.
"What are you doing up so early?" I asked wiping
my
eyes.
"I have class," she said slipping on a sundress.
"When
are you coming back?" I asked.
"Later, I don't know yet I have
some projects I
have to turn in and things," she said brushing
her hair
in the mirror.
"What am I supposed to do?"
"Go with
the guys, they're going to go
sightseeing," she suggested as I pulled her
close.
"I'll wait for you," I said kissing
her neck gently as
she giggled.
"I'll be home as soon as I can
okay? I promise,"
she said kissing me softly.
"Okay, I'll wait for you," I said with
a grin.
"Be good," she said with a laugh.
"I will mom!"
I said as she shut the door. This was
my time to think of how to get her home.
I got up
and paced back and forth, I had no idea
how I was going to pull
this off, marriage wouldn't
work a second time.
'I could tell her to choose
between me and Florida,' I thought.
'No, wouldn't work.' I then thought of
a great
plan, hoping the guys would help me…
"You want us to WHAT?"
They asked as I sighed.
"Just do it, please?" I begged. I decided
to go
sightseeing with them, though I never looked at
anything they did.
"What
if she gets mad at all of us?" Brian
asked as A.J. sighed.
"I'll
blame it all on me, it would be my fault
B, just say yes," I begged again.
"It's
mean A.J.," Kevin said as I groaned.
"Drastic I know but she'll
thank us for it
later on!" I whined. "PLEASE?"
"Wow,
Boner begging, this is a Kodak
moment," Nick said with a laugh.
"I'll
do it," Howie said as I grinned.
"I guess I will to," Kevin
shrugged.
"Count me in," Brian said.
"Me too,"
Nick said still laughing.
"Not me, I don't want her mad at me,"
Belle said as I rolled my eyes.
"Fine, 4 people helping is enough,"
I said folding my arms
over my chest. I couldn't wait for Jessie to come home,
she was everything and to have her home
would mean everything…if my plan
worked.
"I'm home A.J.," Jessie said as she walked over to
me.
"Hey," she said jumping onto the couch aside me.
"Hey baby,
school cool?" I asked kissing her softly.
"Oh it was so funny!
At lunch Jason laughed so hard
at one of my jokes milk squirted out of his nose!"
She said laughing. 'That's not all that's going to squirt
out of his nose
if he keeps up with her,'
I thought to myself.
"What is Jason majoring
in?" I asked hoping his
was more of a genius that she was.
"He's
majoring in physics," she said as my jaw dropped.
He was brilliant, 'damn,'
I said to myself closing my mouth.
"He lives right there," she said
pointing to the
wall next to us.
"That's…that's great," I said
nodding. "Hey guess what
the guys found out?" A.J. asked as I started
my plan.
"What?" She asked changing the channels on the t.v.
"Since
Nick is going to college, or is looking into it he found
out that the teacher
programs are one of the best
in the world," I said hoping someone brilliant
would believe me.
"Really?" She asked interested.
"FSU?"
She asked as I nodded.
"Nick said that the pamphlet was
awesome,"
I said as she smiled.
"Cool, I need to see it," she said as I nodded
nervously.
"I'm getting a new apartment," I said as she laughed.
"Really?
Alone?" She asked.
"Yeah! You could come live with me if
you
weren't here," I said pretending I didn't care.
"I could? I thought
you told me that we didn't
know each other well enough," she said puzzled.
"I
said that like 5 months ago baby! You can come live
with me, I mean we almost
got married!" I said
as she laughed.
"That sounds so great!"
She said then saddening.
"But I belong here," she said nodding at
her decision.
"Knock knock?" Jason asked at the door.
"Hey
Jay!" Jessie said jumping up and giving him a hug.
"Hi A.J.,"
Jason said waving as I moved my head up.
I pretended to scratch my chin
as I held the middle
finger at the dick.
"I wanted to invite you
guys to dinner tomorrow
night, my treat?" Jason asked as I shook my head.
"I'm
leaving tomorrow, thanks
anyways," I said as Jessie looked at me.
"You
are?" She asked.
"Maybe," I said as she looked at me angrily.
"I'll
talk to you tomorrow, you're carpooling right?"
She asked as I rolled my
eyes. Both of
them in a car alone and the windows might fog up.
"Of
course, bye!" Jason said shutting the door.
"I don't think you
like him A.J.," she said angrily.
"Why wouldn't I? He's a genius
and lives
next door, great friendly fun right?" I asked
as she nodded.
"Yeah,
EXACTLY," she said nodding. She went to
her room and took a shower as I
sighed. I had to think
of a way to get her away from that prick before she
became
attached. 'He's probably the reason she's
staying,' I thought to myself.
Hopefully,
when I left I could change that…
