Chapter 7
"Good morning," my mom said opening the fridge.
"Hey mom,"
I said sadly.
"What's wrong?"
"Nothing."
"Come
on, I'm your mom I know something's wrong,"
she said putting the milk on
the table and sitting across from me.
"I want Jessie to come home,"
I said with a sigh.
"I know she hates it there."
"A.J.,
she's in college, she'll be fine," my mom said
with a grin.
"I
think I'm going to get a place of my own," I said as my mom's eyes watered.
"Why?"
"Oh mom it's not anything about you! I love
you you're
my mom," I said taking her hand, "I just need Jessie right
now, I love her so much."
"I understand…how about I help you
look for
a place?" She suggested as I grinned.
"Sure mom, tomorrow?"
I asked as she nodded happily.
"Okay," she said as I got up and
put my dishes in the sink.
"I'm going to Nick's house, they're having
a welcome
back party tonight do you want to be my date?"
I asked as
she laughed.
"Of course!" She said as I smiled.
"See
ya then mom," I said shutting the door and hopping into my car.
"Nick,
pass me the ball!" I shouted as Nick dribbled
the ball and threw it to
me. I shot it in and won the
game as Nick and I laughed in Brian and Howie's
faces.
"Hey Nick," Belle said leaping into his arms.
"Missed
you," Nick said as Howie and I rolled our eyes.
"You two have been
with each other everyday
for 6 months, one day you guys don't," Howie said
as I nodded.
"I can't help it, he's just so cute," Belle said kissing
him as I sighed. At that moment I really wanted Jessie.
"Hello?"
Jessie asked.
"Hey baby," I said with a smile of her voice.
"Hey
how was the flight?"
"Okay, I was sad the entire time I was on it,"
I said as I
sat down on Nick's steps of his house.
"I can't stop
thinking about you."
"Me either," I said looking over at Nick
and Belle.
"What did you call for?"
"I just wanted
to tell you that I love you," I said with a grin.
"I love you too
A.J.," she said as I smiled.
"I gotta go, have fun at the party tonight."
"Okay,"
I said with a sigh.
"Are you taking any girlfriends that I
don't
know about to the party?" She asked.
"What?"
"Well
I know you used to be a player, so you might be playing me…"
"Baby,
you know I love you too much to be playin' you."
"I believe you…so
which girlfriend is it today that you're
taking out?"
"Baby!"
She giggled as I smiled bright.
"I'm just kidding A.J.," she said
as I played
with the dirt on the ground.
"If you must know I'm going
to take my mommy," I said as she laughed.
"That's gross!"
She said as we laughed. "I really
have to go I have a job unlike some people."
"Hey,
my job is to entertain."
"You're a stripper? A.J. you should have
told me
sooner I would be…"
"Jessica Olsen!" I said as
she giggled.
"Okay okay…I love you."
"I love you more."
"I
love you most."
"I gave you the ring."
"I gave
you the necklace!"
"Okay fine, you have to go and I have
a date,"
I said as she giggled.
"Bye A.J.," she said as I sighed.
"Bye
baby," I said hanging up the phone. I looked over to
the guys and grinned,
they were the only thing
keeping me from going insane.
"This party
is nice," my mom said as I grinned.
"I'm going to get something
to drink,
want something?" I asked.
"Nah, I'm going to go talk
at the mother's table," my mom said
as she smiled. I kissed her cheek and
watched her go
over to the mom's table. I walked over to the drinks and
grabbed
a glass of wine.
"Hi there," a girl said behind me as I turned to
her.
She definitely was beautiful, couldn't hurt to say hi.
"Hi,"
I said taking a sip of my wine.
"I'm Sidney," she said holding out
her hand.
"A.J.," I said shaking her hand. "What…or should
I say who are you here for?"
"I'm a friend of Lou," she said
as I nodded. "Lou talks about you guys
all the time."
"Not
good things I bet," I said as she giggled.
"About you, all good
things," she said as I grinned. That, was what
started it all.
"A.J.
I'm going to go home, you can get a ride right?" My mom asked
as I nodded.
I was completely drunk,
and she knew it.
"Bye mommy!" I said
with laughter.
"Do you want me to take you home?" Sidney asked
me.
"Sure baby, let's go," I said as she grinned. When she stopped
I looked up at an apartment complex, looking similar
to Jessie's.
"Hey…we're
not in Kansas anymore," I whined as she took my
hand. She led me to one
of the doors and opened
the door, leading me in.
"A.J. do you think
I'm sexy?" Sidney asked shutting the
door and leaning on it.
"Yep!"
I said with a laugh.
"You are so cute," she said pulling me to
her. She kissed me
deeply as I grinned, I imagined Jessie. My phone rang from
my
jacket pocket as I picked it up and jumped onto the couch.
"A.J.
here," I said with a laugh.
"A.J.?" Jessie asked as I sat
up.
"That's my name!"
"Are you drunk?" She asked
as I laughed. "A.J. you know
I don't like when you drink."
"Sorry
mom!"
"Who's that?" Sidney asked.
"It's Jessica
Olsen, Yale student!"
"You have a girlfriend?" Sidney asked
as
I nodded.
"Are you with another girl?" Jessie yelled.
"Well…yeah,"
I said with a laugh. There was a click as
I realized Jessie hung up the phone.
"A.J.
let me take you home," Sidney said
opening the door as I walked out.
