Chapter 1

Chapter 2

Jessie knocked on the door as butterflies swirled through my stomach, "It's okay Megan, lighten up," Jess said.

The door opened wide and Jackie, Brian's mom answered, "Megan?"

"Hi Mrs. Littrell," I said as she laughed.

"Oh please, you never called me that, come here and give me a big hug," she said as she squeezed me tight. "Hi Jessie, good to see you."

"You too Jackie," Jessie said hugging her as well.

"Care to come in?"

Right when I was about to say no, "Of course," Jessie exclaimed.

Jackie shut the door behind us as old memories flew into my head.

"Would you like something to drink?" She asked as we shook our heads. "Well come sit, let's talk about things."

As I went to sit on the couch I remembered Brian and I always got in trouble for making out on it. I grinned at the thought and sat down aside Jessie.

"So how are you Megan? I hear your engaged," Jackie said with a wide smile.

"Actually that's what we came here to talk to you about," I said with a nod, "I wanted to invite you to come."

"Oh wow!" Jackie clasped her hands together, "that would be wonderful!"

"It's in two days," I said as she nodded, "will you bring Harold?"

"Of course! He'd love to see you finally settle down, he always loved you," she said as I smiled.

"How's Brian Jackie?" Jessie asked as I elbowed her in the gut.

"I talked to him a few minutes ago actually, he can't wait to..."

"To go to New York right Jackie?" Jessie said as I looked at her puzzled.

"Yes..." Jackie nodded, "Go to New York."

"Does he live there?" I asked.

"Oh no dear he lives in Florida," Jackie said as I nodded. "Do you not know?"

"I haven't heard from him since he left," I said sadly remembering...

(flashback!)

I didn't see Brian the rest of the school day. Wondering where he went I drove over to his house.

I knocked on the door to see Jackie at the door, "Hey sweetheart."

"Hey Jackie, have you seen Brian?"

"What?" She said with a concerned look on her face.

"He left class and never came back," I said puzzled.

"Come here," she said pulling me in for a hug, "he didn¡Çt tell you?"

"Tell me what?"

"He's gone sweetie, he's gone."

"What?" I felt tears forming.

"He's not coming back," she said as I cried forever in her arms...

"So what was all that New York stuff about?" I asked taking a bite of my salad.

"Nothing, he just loves it there," she said asking the waiter for the check.

"Oh," I nodded wiping my mouth. "Can I ask you something?"

"Of course Meg," she said signing the bill.

"Why would Brian call you and not me?" I asked as she sighed.

"Don't worry about it, you're getting married remember?" She said as I nodded.

"I know, it's just weird..."

"Where are we?" I asked looking around at an unfamiliar restaurant.

"I've got connections," Brian said as he pulled the chair out for me.

"I've never seen this place before," I said as he sat down aside me.

"Watch this," he said snapping his fingers. Two violin players came out from nowhere as I smiled. They started playing as Brian took my hand. "Do you like it?"

"I love it," I said kissing him softly.

"Dance with me," he said pulling me. He wrapped his arms around me as I laid my head on his chest. He kissed my head as I closed my eyes and swayed to the music. I felt like I was floating¡Ä

"Megan," Brian said letting me go. "I have something for you," he said pulling a small box out of his pocket. He got down on his knee as my mouth dropped in shock. "I love you so much, and I know I want to spend the rest of my life with you," he said as tears came out of my eyes, "Marry me?"

"Of course," I smiled as he got up and kissed me passionately. He pushed the ring onto my finger and held me.

"I will love you always," he whispered...

"Megan?" Tommy asked as I realized I fell asleep on the couch waiting for Tommy to show up.

"Hey, what time is it?" I asked wiping my eyes.

"7:30 or so," he said sitting aside me. "Long day?"

"Mmm hmm," I nodded as he brushed my hair.

"Think Megan, 2 days and you'll be my wife," he smiled at the thought.

"I bet you won't be thinking about that tomorrow at the bachelor party," I laughed as he rolled his eyes.

"I couldn't think of anything but you."

"Not even when the stripper comes out of the cake?" I laughed as he grinned.

"Well..."

"Hey!" I laughed as he tickled me. "I can't wait until all this wedding jazz is over, we should of eloped."

"Never too late," he sighed throwing his shoes on the floor.

"It's tempting, but I know my parents would be pissed," I shrugged as Tommy laid his head in my lap.

"Mine too," he said as I brushed his forehead. "Scratch that plan."

"If only it were an actual option I would have been on a plane hours ago."

"Without me?" He grinned.

"Very funny, I'll marry myself," I said as he laughed.

"I've heard of an ego but..."

"Hey I resent that," I said flicking his head as his whined.

"OW!"

"Aww...I'm sorry!" I kissed his forehead as he grinned.

"I love you Meg," he said closing his eyes.

"I love you too," I closed my eyes as well...
