Here is a poem I wrote for Adam.
Friendship
Friend is what I call you
I'm so glad that you are here.
Sweet music that you make
Fills my longing ears.
I've never felt so close before
Yet so far away.
I wish for you to be happy
every single day.
You seem to know the words
that will make it easier to go on.
I play them over in my head,
Every note from every song.
As I watch you up on that stage
I feel like jumping up and down
when you glance my way.
So when you see me in a crowd
and I don't know what to do or say.
Just know that I am very proud,
and lucky to have a friend like you today!

Well I wrote last time about how I have some lyrics and writing that was
influenced by Matchbox 20. And I also CHICKENED OUT so here I am, and
this is a song. It remains nameless (I remain open for suggestions to
this song) and I can sing it, but none of you can actually be familiar
with the sound of it, because I don't know how to write the actual
music. So again I beg for someone to help me with that. But
nevertheless here it goes:

~Your MB20 dreams. No matter how bizarre...~
I had a dream about Matchbox 20 a few nights ago.. It's somewhat long, but if you want to put it in the next zine issue, feel free. :) But before I start, let it be known that I have never been to an MB20 concert and have never met any of the band members (yet)..
I was at an MB20 concert, in the center of the 2nd or 3rd row. I was singing along perfectly with all the songs and looking at Rob the whole time. I knew them all by heart (even some of the ones I don't know in real life like "Tired"). During one of the breaks between songs, I heard Kyle say to Brian "hey, did ya notice that chic in the front who's been singing the songs word-for-word and staring at Rob?". Brian said "yeah, I did.. I think she likes Rob.." and Kyle said "we should tell him.. she's pretty hot..". Then the break ended.
They continued performing for a while. Then they did "Busted". At the part where the song says "oh how I want you to know me, oh how I want you to know me, oh how I wish I was somebody else, baby, oh how I wish you could own, own me", Rob looked right at me while he sang and I was looking at him and singing, so it looked like we were singing to each other. I guess that startled him because he almost messed up the song after he finished that part and turned away from me.
The band did a few more songs and then the concert ended. As they were getting off the stage, Kyle went up to Rob and said "did ya see the chic in the front.." and before Kyle could finish, Rob said "blonde hair? blue and black shirt?" and Kyle said "yeah, that's the one..." and Rob said "I saw her.... I gotta find her...".
Of course, I had wanted to meet the band before I heard that conversation between Kyle and Rob. After I heard it, I wanted to meet them more than ever! So I waited in the hallway of the concert hall (or whatever it was) for them. A few hours of waiting passed and almost everyone was gone. I was alone in the hallway. Finally, the band came out. Rob saw me and stopped short. Kyle and Brian said "go for it man.." and walked away with Adam and Paul, leaving Rob and I alone. Rob came up to me and said "hi". I said "hey". Rob said "did ya like the show?" and I said "oohh yes, it was incredible" and he said "that's good..". Then he stood closer to me and said "wanna talk?" and I said "sure" and he led me backstage, which was vacant. We sat down on a couch that was there and Rob said "I saw ya singing at the show.." and I said "yeah?" and he said "yeah.. it was cool.. that you knew all the songs.." and I said "yeah.. the songs are amazing.. and your voice singing them is even better..". I blushed when I realized what I had said, but Rob just got this awed look on his face and said "thanks.. wow.. that really means a lot to me..". Then I said "Rob?" and he said "yeah?" and I said "I've been wanting to tell you something ever since
I heard 'Push' for the first time.." and he said "what it is?" and I said "it's kinda hard to put into words.. I just wanna touch your soul the way you touched mine...". He was silent for a minute, and then said "I think you just did..". Then he bent over and kissed me.. And my alarm clock went off. :P
Needless to say, that was the best dream I've ever had in my entire life! This one was exceptionally clear, too. I remembered everything like it happened mere seconds ago; the exact words spoken, what everyone's voices sounded like, the color of the walls backstage (they were white, by theway), etc. This is very strange for me because my dreams are usually unclear and really weird (for example, the one where the cast of MAD TV was in a doctor's office, wearing beige trashbags).

This was a while ago, before I went to one of their concerts. I was worried that I wouldn't be able to take pictures of Rob while he was performing. So, in my dream, I'm at the concert, and Rob looks nothing like I'd imagined. Sort of a combination between Rod Stewart and someone else, I can't remember, it was so long ago. And I HATE Rod Stewart!! Please, don't ask. well, he's walking in the aisles of the theatre, and I take out my camera. So, while he's singing, I hold the camera up, and he stopped in the middle of the song and gave me a speech on how he didn't want pictures being taken in front of everyone there. He was like "it really distracts me and I don't like it, see how much time I'm wasting here". He sounded like one of my teachers. So I got embarrassed, but he finally went on to singing again. Then after the show I saw him walking with his arm around a girl, and he smiled and winked at me. Even though he was really mad at me before, I dunno, it's weird.
I also had another one where my friend and I were at their concert, and he looked like HIMSELF!!! Thank god! We were surrounded by all these little kids, so my friend and I REALLY stuck out cuz he were older and taller. Pus gorgeous, but only in the dream, of course! (I think my mind was controlling this one) Rob comes over, and I'm sort of on the balcony, or somewhere higher up. And he throws me a bottle of wine. I drop it, of course, and he smiles, and that was it. They're both pretty weird. But hey! "It's Better than nothing"!! Later Guys!

A while ago I had a dream about Rob. I was in the woods and suddenly he was there and I just ran up to him and started taking off his pants! Then the scene changed and he was gone.
Then I dreamed the other night that I went to see matchbox 20 with my dad and my stepmom. They told me it was a waste of money to buy a backstage pass so I bought one and didn't tell them. Then I said I had to go to the bathroom and went backstage. I had to go through a metal detector which went off on my necklace that I was wearing. then I met some guy and we went backstage into a big dark room. I walked around for a while in the dark and then the lights came on. I was about an inch from stand ing on paul's head! They were all sleeping on the floor! Then they all woke up and stood up. I turned around and Rob was standing there and I went "AAAAHHHHH!! Hi." and he said
"hi." Then I realized I had my glasses on and I went over to a little table with a mirror and put my contacts in. There was makeup all over the table and Adam came over and started putting it on and talking to me. Then I woke up!!!
A couple of nights later I had a dream about Paul, but I don't remember it--I just remember he was in it! I love the zine! Keep it up!

Ok, I've had this dream several times and I just hope that one day all or part of the dream comes true. I keep dreaming that I am the guys tour manager and in every dream, Rob and I fall in love!! Go figure!! I've always wanted to be a tour manager and Rob is my fave!! This is one time that I hope dreams come true.

About 2 weeks ago, I had a dream about the boys.. In my dream they were back in Tulsa, OK. My friend and I went to see them again and everything was normal. Then it was time for the guys to come out--except only Rob, Kyle, and Paul came out onstage. They were all wearing brightly colored shirts and pants--I'm talking flourescent pinks, greens, yellows and oranges. Also they were all bare-footed and Kyle had his toes painted, each a different color. Well they played a few songs and took a quick break so I guess I decided to go the the bathroom. On my way I ran into this guy that had the characteristics of my exboyfriend and this other guy, but I couldn't tell which one it was, we talked for a little bit then he said something to me and then kissed me and I realized it was my ex. After that I woke up because it just seemed to real. Oddly enough my ex called me last week, but that a whole other story!!

I had this weird dream about Matchbox20. I was at a concert and somehow my friend and I got backstage. But it wasn't like a normal backstage-it was like a living room! Anyway, we met the guys, but only Rob and Adam were in the dream and Adam looked nothing like himself. Kyle, Paul, and Brian weren't there like, visually, but they were there-I could sense it-I can't explain it. We talked and stuff (I can't really remember what exactly happened) then Rob hugged me-really tight. So then he said "Let's even it out" or something strange like that, implying that I should hug him tighter. I guess because he was like, choking me???? So I did and now here comes an even weirder part: somehow we ended up on the floor. Like, we were laying between the couch and the table hugging really tightly and for a really long time. OK don't think that I was having like, disgusting dreams here-we were only hugging! It was so weird, but very very NICE! (How could hugging Rob not be nice?). Then they had to get on the tour bus and I was very disappointed. They got on the busses and I ran on after them! I was like, crying and stuff and really upset. Then I went back to the concert place and saw Adam standing there! He took me to Rob and I was soooooo happy. We did some more hugging and that's all I can really remember. I think that's how the dream went....I might have mixed up the order of events, but you get the idea-I got to hug Rob a lot! :-) OK I hope you all enjoyed my weird dream!

well, i had a dream about the band....AGAIN!! well, i dreamed that Rob Thomas climbed through my window (lucky me!) and wanted to know what track number the song "Shame" is on. so we were fliping through the little booklet thingy and we were looking and looking but couldnt find it! Then, i asked, "how did you know i lived here???!!" and he said, " from the fan club information. and then adam walks in with the rest of the band and said, " You didnt put her on the special address book??" "i thought you put her on the special address book". and Rob said, "No, i didnt put her on the special address book". and I was thinking in the dream, "wow, theres a special address book!" hehehe. anyway, he hung around for awhile , and thats it....= (

A. First business, "You and I and I" is a song they perform at their shows, and I'm not positive if it will be on any other tracks or future recordings. But we'll keep you posted, if you are looking for some new matchbox20 material pick up Fleetwood mac's "Legacy: A Tribute to Rumours", they cover a song called "Never Going Back". A. As far as we know no one has any control over what videos are being viewed on the show and there is no list. But I'm sure if you email MTV you could request that they view that video or go to www.mtv.com or Keyword: MTV. Otherwise keep your eyes open at all times!

Even if you don't know what the hell a boot is you'll appreciate this page. If you are into trading and happen to like matchbox 20 you'll love it massively. Scott has loads of great bootlegs to trade. Bootlegs are (if ya didn't know) recordings unreleased by the band. They're illegal to sell for profit not trade, so don't worry. They're a rad way to get unreleased material on mb20 and just hear what they do best, play live. Also there are various interviews too. This site isn't all bootlegs or matchbox 20. He has a great site about the band. The site features a massive and prob best discography of matchbox 20 on the net (the LD'Z borrowed a few singles and promos, yeah we asked first :). There's promos, singles, everything. He has audio samples off of a few of his boots and singles to jam to. A Links section, even a Raffle for a poster going on. Presently it's in it's second stage and only open to people who passed the first part. Very unique and cool of him.
The reason I gave this site 5 stars is because it's something other than the norm, put together very well, and is just excellent. If you haven't already, get your arse to the page! Oh yeah, sign the guestbook too just for kicks :)
