Here is some general information about the Boston Terrier Breed
Boston Terriers are one of the few native American breeds. They have many nicknames including 'The American Gentleman'. They're a recent addition to the AKC Stud Books compared to other breeds.
Boston Terrier's were originally bred to be used in the fighting pits of Boston (Massachusetts). They were a cross between Bull Terriers and Bulldogs. The first crosses occurred in England, then some of the stock were sent to America (as the common practice) where the breeding continued.
The Boston Terrier is a friendly and lively dog. The breed has an excellent disposition and a high degree of intelligence, which makes the Boston Terrier an incomparable companion.
Boston Terriers are easy to live with, and are adjustable to a city apartment, or a large country setting. They're easy to train, because they wish to please their owners. Bostons should be house dogs, since they aren't able to stand extreme cold or heat. They will overheat very quickly if left in hot cars or similiar environments.
Boston Terrier's are active dogs. They enjoy and exercise. A small walk or a run around the yard is appropriate. Things such as playing fetch, playing with their owners (and their children), walking, and running are suitable and enjoyed by the breed. Bostons are an especially good breed for homes with children since they love children and enjoy playing with them. Grooming with almost any brush is good, doing so about once a week is good. Nails should be clipped and ears should be kept clean.
BUSTER
Buster is a sweet,friendly & gentle boston terrier. He is about 10 years old, black & white,bi-eyed (one blue & one brown eye). He is a wonderful boy and needs a loving home. He is nearly deaf & has poor vision, but he is a wonderful little dog in need of a loving home. He gets a little standoffish & shy around dogs, especially ones that are bigger than him!(do ya blame him?) He MUST be an indoor dog,kept on a leash at all times,& kept away from extremes of cold & heat, as the breed is incredibly delicate. Buster doesn't bark~he's a quiet little boy. Buster would do best in a home with adults who aren't too active and who don't already have a dog. He loves to travel & is a good boy in the car. The Boston Terrier breed has an excellent disposition and a high degree of intelligence. Buster is an incomparable companion.
