  • Joseph Felix Pont (Andrepont) - was born at St.Landry Parish, Louisiana, the son of Joseph Andre Pont and Marie Therese Langlois. He died just before 1853. He married on April 20, 1819 in St.Landry Catholic Church in Opelousas, Louisiana. Her name was MARIE MICHEL FONTENOT, daughter of Michel Fontenot and Marie Pitre.

    Joseph Felix Pont and Maria Michel Fontenot had five children:

    1. Felix Andre Pont, born 14 April 1820, married Eleonore Fruge in 1847, eight children, died ?.
    2. Joseph Andre Pont, born 23 Oct 1824, Married Eloise Fruge in 1850, five children, died about 1865.
    3. Hypolite Andre Pont, born 23 March 1828, married Mirza (Millisa) Lejeune in 1847, ten children, died ?.
    4. Celestin Pont, born 8 Dec 1830, married Fremont Dupre in 1853, eleven children, died 29 March 1912.
    5. Martin Andre Pont - born 30 Jan 1834, married Ermina Pitre in 1855, nine children, died 14 Jan 1915.
