  • Martin Andre Pont (Andrepont) - was born at St.Landry Parish, Louisiana, on 30 January 1834, the son of Joseph Felix Pont and Marie Michel Fontenot. He died on January 14th 1915. He married on 8 Feb 1855 in St.Landry Catholic Church in Opelousas, Louisiana. Her name was Ermina Pitre, daughter of Charles Pitre and Delphine Joubert.

    Martin Andre Pont and Ermina Pitre had nine children:

    1. Edgar Andrepont - born 17 may 1856, died 5 July 1867 at age 11.
    2. Albert Andrepont - born 9 March 1858, married Lucille Andrepont (daughter of Hypolite & Milize Andrepont), six children, died about 1948.
    3. Marie Gadrate Andrepont - born 20 June 1860, married Theogene Bertrand in 1877, nine children, died 28 Feb 1935.
    4. Emar (Amar) Andrepont - born 21 April 1863, married Alice Dupre, seven children, died 15 Oct 1941.
    5. Eraste Andrepont - born in 1866, married Virgina Prudhomme(died in 1900), four children, married May Bertrand (six children), he died on 25 Dec 1947.
    6. Hermina Andrepont - born in 1869, she married William Reed, three children, died 14 Jan 1897.
    7. Martin Andrepont Jr. - born 14 Aug 1873, married Martha Bertrand on 11 Dec 1894, eight children, died 9 July 1948.
    8. Charles Numa Andrepont - born 7 Jan 1876, died in Sept 1877.
    9. Jacques Nestor Andrepont - born 14 April 1878, married Reta LeDoux, four children, died 4 Dec 1958.
