"Hi, Katie." JC said softly.
Startled, Katie looked up. "JC. Hi."
JC ran his hand through his hair. "Can we talk?"
Katie glanced helplessly at Brittny who was standing with Lance looking over a song list and Danielle who was still kissing Justin, their sun at their feet. They weren't going to save her from this.
"Yeah," she finally agreed. "Sure."
JC tilted his head toward the door. "Come on, I know somewhere we can be alone."
Katie nodded, and he led her out of the studio, into a small lounge a couple rooms down.
She walked in ahead of him and sat down.
JC sat across from her, and clasped his hands together.
"I've been thinking about what you said," he began.
Katie just starred back at him.
"And I want you to know that I understand you don't wanna be with me right now, but. . .I guess what I'm trying to say is I'm here for you. If you ever need anything, anyone to talk to, just anything. I'm here. And I always will he, no matter how hard you try to make me go away."
"JC, I'm so sorry if I hurt you. I really do care about you, but I'm just not in the state of mind to have a boyfriend right now. I"m sorry you have to get mixed up in the middle of this."
JC's eyes grew wide. "You have nothing to be sorry about. None of this was your fault and I could kill the bastard who hurt you like this."
Katie fell silent, and starred at her feet.
"I guess that's all I really had to say. . . "
Katie looked up. "Thank you." she whispered.
JC smiled. "No problem."
