The girls had just finished singing "Near" on the Rosie O' Donnel show, and during the commercial break were being ushered over to her desk to sit down.
Brittny was closest to the desk, followed by Danielle, then Katie.
"And we're on in 5. . . 4. . . 3. . . 2. . . " someone yelled.
The lights came on over head and Rosie looked into one of the cameras. "And we're back with Unique! I just love that song!" she busted out singing her own version of "Near", which made the girls giggled. "No, really, your girls are great."
"Thank you." They said.
"So, I heard you performed for a charity benifit last night."
"Yes, we did. The Make A Wish Foundation. It's a really great cause, and we had alot of fun." Brittny explained.
"I totally agree." Rosie said in a very serious voice. "Who else was there?"
"Britney Spears, Tyrese, and C-Note performed, but their were alot of celebrity guests." Danielle replied.
"Yeah, we met the Backstreet Boys." Katie said, still beaming from that experience.
"Aw. They are such cutie patuties aren't they?"
"Yeah, they're great." Danielle smiled.
Brittny laughed. "She's just saying that because she and AJ were flirting, and she wants to make a good impression in case he's watching."
Danielle's eyes widened as everyone laughed but her.
"Oh, we never actually saw them flirt. We only found out about it when we were driving to the hotel." Katie said.
Rosie chuckled. "Anyways, how long have you been a group?"
"Since we were twelve, and we are nineteen now, so about seven years." Katie replied.
"And your from Orlando?"
Danielle nodded.
"When does your CD, which is self-titled, come out?"
"This Friday, actually."
"And are you planning on touring at all?"
"There are a couple of deals in the works as we speak, but nothing is definate yet." Danielle replied.
"That's good. I wish you luck in that. Let's talking about your personal lives."
"What personal lives?" Danielle laughed.
"Our life is basically our music. We don't have much time to do much of anything anymore." Katie said.
"Do you keep in good touch with your family?"
"Oh yeah, our phone bills are unbelievable." Brittny shook her head. "They are really the only people we keep in touch with, because all our closest friends are in the band."
"So, no boyfriends?"
"Unfortunatly, no." Danielle said, almost in a pouty voice.
"What about you and AJ?" Brittny joked.
"Get off it! We talked for like two seconds, ok?" Danielle said, through gritted teeth.
Katie laughed.
"So, Rosie." Danielle smiled, trying to change the subject. "I've always wanted to come on your show, so this is really amazing."
"Well, thank you. Oh, we have to go to a break. We'll be back with more Unique."
The lights over head dimmed again, and a short blode woman in sweats ran up to Rosie's desk from backstage.
"Guess who just showed up! The Backstreet Boys!" the woman exclaimed.
Danielle's face turned crimson.
"Really? Why?"
"They were in the area, and they heard you talking about them, so they showed up."
"Do we have time to bring them out?"
"You have seven minutes, so they can't sing. You can just chat with them."
"Alright, let's get some chair set up behind the girls! This will shoot the ratings through the roof! Maybe we can have AJ sit behind Danielle." Rosie chuckled.
Danielle's face reddened again, as two men hurriedly set up five chairs behind the girls.
Then the Backstreet Boys were ushered out. Before they could even say hello, the break was over.
"Guess who stopped by!" Rosie cried. "The Backstreet Boys!"
The audience went wild.
"What are yo doing here?"
"Well, we saw you guys embarrassing Danielle on here, and we figured we should bring AJ on and embarrass him, too." Britan answered.
Nick held up a piece of long material. "See this? In their act, the girls are wearing pants under their shirts, and they rip the skirts off, and throw them backstage. Well, AJ caught this one, which happens to be Danielle's, and he's been carrying it around his neck since last night. I'm pretty sure he slept with it,"
"It's a nice skirt." AJ said, shrugging, trying to cover himself
"Just as long as your not wearing it or anything. . . " Danielle laughed.
"Oops. . . " AJ joked. "Anyways, I don't know what he's talking about. All Nick talked about last night was how pretty Katie was and what a nice voice she has, and-"
Nick cut him off. "Well, Brian's been babbling about Brittny!"
Katie and Brittny both blushed.
"Looks like we've got a little love connection going on here." Rosie said.
"Looks like it." Kevin said.
Howie frowned. "And Kev and I have no one." he pouted.
"Hey! I can hook ya'll up! Our bass player has a mad crush on Howie. Her name is Holly. She' really pretty, too. And Diane! She played keyboard. She would love to go out with you!" Katie cried.
"Alright." Kevin grinned.
Rosie gave them an interesting look, then turned to the camer. "Unfortunately, that's all the time we have today. Come back and tell us how this works out, will ya?"
"We will." Brittny said politly.
"Tomorrows guests are Madonna and Mike Myers! Bye!"
