Everyone had been to see Josh except me.

Taking my hand, Joey led me down the hall to his room.

"I'll leave you alone. If you need anything, I'll be in the waiting area." Joey said.

I nodded, and walked silently into Josh's room, closing the door behind me.

I gasped. The site of him was enough to make me sick. There were three white bandages taped to his chest where he had been shot. IV and other needles and tubes were stuck in various parts of his body.

"Oh god," I moaned, sitting down in the chair next to his bed.

"Josh, I'm so scared." I said, my voice shaking, as I ran my fingers over his hand. "Please don't leave me. I don't know what I would do without you. I can't live without you."

I rested my head on the bed, and began sobbing into the mattress.

"Hello?" I asked, picking up the cordless phone in the kitchen.

"Hey, Dani!"

"Josh! Oh my god! Hi! What's up?"

"Well, they aren't going to do another season of MMC."

"Oh? That's too bad. I'm so sorry. Are you going ot move back?"

Josh laughed. "No. I'm going to come up for the summer and I wanted to call and ask if I could stay at you're place."

"Of course you can! My parents would love to see you again!"

"Great. Well, I have to go, I have a rehearsal. I'll call you tomorrow with more details."

"All right. Bye."

"I miss you."

"I miss you, too, Josh."

"Goodbye."

"Bye.''

"Danielle?"

I looked up. Chris was standing in the doorway. "The doctor asked me to come tell you that you have to leave JC alone to rest."

I sniffled and stood up. I walked over to CHris, and he put his arm around me, and we began walking to the waiting room.

Karen was crying in Roy's arms, Justin and Katie were sitting in chairs, Katie's head rested on Josh's shoulder, Brittny and Lance were no where to be seen, and Joey was leaning against the wall.

He looked up when he saw Chris and me enter and walked over to us.

"Chris, I've been thinking."

"Gee, that's a first."

Joey scowled. "I'm going to tell her."

"No!" Chris cried. "We promised we wouldn't ever ever under any circumstances tell her!"

I starred at them in confusion.

"She needs to know. This is like an omen. If I tell her, and he wakes up. . . "

"What are you guys talking about?" I asked.

"I'm going to tell her." Joey said to Chris.

Chris sighed. "All right."

"Come here." Joey said, talking my hand. "We need to talk."

He led me over to two chairs near Karen and Roy, and sat down.

"About what?"

"I'm not really sure how to say this."

"Just say it."

"Well. . . "

"Joey!"

"Danielle, JC is in love with you."

My heart pretty much stopped beating, and my eyes widened. I was in shock. "What?" I asked slowly.

"JC has been in love with you for as long as I've known him. And I can tell by the way you look at him, you feel the same way."

"Why didn't he ever say anything?"

"He didn't want to ruin you're friendship."

"And, why are you telling me this now, of all times?"

"So when JC waked up, you won't waste the rest of your lives wondering if you were meant to be. Now you know."

Chris was now standing in front of us.

"Is he lying to me? Is this some kind of sick joke?"

"No. JC told us to never tell you, though. He's been in love with you since I can remember. The question is, Do you love him?"

I sighed, as my thoughts drifted to the summer he stayed at my house.

I was lying in bed, starring at the ceiling, unable to sleep, when I heard my door creep open.

Josh walked over to my bed and sat down. It was his first night back in DC, staying at my house. "I can't sleep." he groaned.

"Me either." I lifted up my blankets. "Hop in. Talking always helps me sleep."

Josh climbed in bed next to me. "So. . . what do you want to talk about?"

I yawned. "I don't know. Anything."

"Um. . . "

"Did you miss me when you were in Florida?" I asked.

"Of course. I thought about you everyday for the past four years."

"Me, too." I giggled. "Remember you're last night here?"

Josh chuckled. "That kiss was pretty bad."

I nodded, and rolled over onto my stomach, then turned my head so I was facing him. His face was so close I could feel his breath. "I miss when we used to have movie nights. We would always end up sleeping over eachothers houses."

"Me, too. I used to wish that I could be back here with you. Watching a movie, and falling asleep in your bed."

I let my arm wrap around his stomach. "it's sooo good to have you back here."

He kissed my forehead. "It's sooo good to be back."

"Mr. and Mrs. Chasez?" Dr. Morris asked. "You're son is awake. . . "
