AJ and I rushed into the hospital, holding hands. Megan, Leah, and Brian jumped up when they saw us and ran over to us. I hugged Megan tightly. I was scared. I hope Nick's ok.
Kevin and Howie ran in after us. We were all talking at once, trying to find out the whole story.
"Nick hurt his head pretty bad. He's unconsious," Megan choked out. I put my arm around her trying to comfort. I couldnt even imagine what she was feeling. I was scared too.
"Come on, you guys can go see him,"
Megan said, guiding everyone to Nick's room. He looked so peaceful, like he felt no pain at all.
We all gathered around his bed and looked at him. No one knew what to think.
"The guy who hit us was drunk," Megan whispered. I was shocked.
"Megan?" the doctor asked coming into the room.
"Yes?" she asked.
She pulled Megan out into the hallway to talk to her. A few minutes passed and Megan returned to the room.
"The doctor said we have to go. To come tomorrow," Megan said.
"Ok, we will," I promised.
Everyone agreed and left the room. I looked at AJ as we were in the elevator leaving. All of us were in the elevator together, all tired and scared.
"I love you AJ," I told him taking his hand in mine.
"I love you baby," he said kissing my forehead.
The Next Day~
AJ and I sat in the hospital room. Nick was still lying there, unconsious. Megan went home to get a shower. Somehow she had convinced the doctor to let her stay the night here next to Nick.
I watched the tv as AJ looked out the window. We were both tired. I doubt anyone got much sleep last night. Especially Megan.
"Im going to go get something to eat, do you want anything baby?" AJ asked.
"Yeah, I'll take a cappuchino," I told him. He nodded and walked out of the door. At the slam of the door, Nick's eyes moved. Like he was trying to open them. Slowly he opened his eyes and looked at me.
"Nick! Hey! Oh my," I reached over and pressed the nurse's button.
Before I knew it, nurses were rushing into the room behind the doctor. They shoved me out of the room as they checked Nick over. AJ rushed up to me after seeing the chaos.
"What happened?" he asked.
"He woke up," I replied smiling.
Later~
We were all gathered in Nick's room. The doctor said he would be ok and able to go home in a few days. Which was very good news. I bet Nick would be happy to get out of here.
I rubbed my temples. The nausating smell of the hospital was making me sick. I could barely stand it. AJ rubbed my neck, comforting me. I did not feel well at all.
Megan hadnt left Nick's side the whole time since she got her, after we called her. It was 7:30 on a Sunday night and Ive been here since 8:00 this morning. I was tired and cranky, but I was also happy Nick was ok.
