"Where have you been?!" Matt shouted, as Micki walked into her home.
Micki jumped back startled by her fiancee's outburst.
"Honey I'm home," Micki muttered, and walked passed him.
"Where have you been?" Matt repeated, still angry.
"Out," Micki said, walking into their room.
"You went out!" Matt concluded.
"Very good," Micki snapped. Micki began to undress in front of her fiancee. She changed into her favorite silk pajama set and walked into her bathroom, ignoring Matt the best she could.
"Clubbing?" Matt asked.
Very good," Micki answered. Micki brushed her teeth and then her hair. She cleaned all the makeup off of her face. Matt stood in the doorway of the bathroom, watching her. "Yes?" Micki asked, annoyed.
"Meet any guys?" Matt asked, sarcastically.
"You know, I thought you weren't coming home tonight," Micki hissed.
"That's what you're mad about? Because I wanted to spend time with my friends tonight?" Matt asked, equally annoyed.
"No asshole! I'm mad because I told you three days I ago that I had a surprise for you tonight and then you end up spending the evening with Jerry!" Micki shouted, very angry with Matt.
"I'm sorry Micki," Matt apologized, looking sympathetic.
I'm tired. Good night," Micki said, walking passed him into their room. She laid down in the bed and closed her eyes, still not forgiving her boyfriend.
"Baby, I'm sorry," Matt said laying down beside her after turning off the light.
"Whatever," Micki said, and rolled over, so he would leave her alone. Matt put his arm around Micki. Micki fell asleep, not thinking of Matt, but of A.J.
Meanwhile...
A.J. stared after Micki's car had driven off. For some strange reason, he really did like her. He sighed and looked down at her number, he shoved it into his pocket and walked back to the club. Just as he was about to go in, Nick came out in a rush.
"Some lady blew it, we have to go now. The whole crowd of women in there are after us," Nick said, out of breath.
A.J. and Nick ran to Nick's black corvette and got in. Nick sped off. A.J. laughed at Nick as he drove.
"What?" Nick asked.
"You looked a little worried," A.J. laughed.
"Yeah, well when like 500 women are after you, you'd be a little worried too," Nick shot back.
"Yeah, I guess so,"A.J. agreed.
"Yeah that's what I thought," Nick growled.
As Nick drove, the two were silent. A.J. kept thinking about Micki and how happy she looked when she smiled.
Nick? Well, he thought about his Mario Cart game. "Who was that girl you were with all night?" Nick finally asked, breaking the silence.
She looked good,"Nick replied.
"Yeah, I know. I got her number, so maybe I'll give her a call," A.J. announced.
"Does she have a friend?" Nick asked, grinning, his goofy little grin. .
"I'm sure she does," A.J. said, sarcastically.
"Yeah," Nick said, not catching the sarcasm.
"She was wearing a ring, but I don't know. Why would she come to a club if she was taken? " A.J. asked.
"Who knows, maybe it was a gift from her mother," Nick said, absentmindedly
"Yeah, I'm sure of it,"A.J. smirked.
Nick pulled up to A.J.'s house and A.J. got out. "See you man," Nick called out to his friend. A.J. waved and walked into his home. The home was decorated in leopard print everything. A.J. walked to his room and laid on his bed and thought in the dark. He thought about Micki.
"Could she be taken?"A.J. asked.
"No, why would she give me her number?" he answered himself.
"Because she could just want to be friends, or just didn't want to hurt your feelings," concluded.
A.J. took out the number and laid it on his nightstand. He fell asleep quickly, thinking of Micki.
The next morning...
Micki groaned as she listened to her alarm clock ringing in her ear. It was a Sunday morning and Micki had no idea why her alarm clock was on. She opened her eyes, the rising sun blinding her in the process. She waited for her vision to clear and then looked at the clock.
"9:30!" Micki exclaimed, angry that she was getting up so early. She slammed her fist against the alarm clock, causing it to stop beeping and closed her eyes. She tried to go back to sleep, but was unsuccessful. Finally after ten minutes of trying she sat up and realized that Matt was no where in sight. She got up out of bed and walked to the kitchen where it was beautifully cleaned from last night, with an incredible breakfast meal sitting on the table. Eggs, pancakes, toast, hash browns, and orange juice sat on the table.
"Matt?" Micki called, surprised at her fiancee's attempt to apologize.
"Good morning!" Matt said sticking his head into the kitchen. He looked like he had been cleaning.
"What is this?" Micki asked, still in shock.
"I made you breakfast," he said, smiling coming into the kitchen and kissed Micki's cheek.
"Because! I want to show you that I am sorry and that I love you,"he said.
"Thanks," Micki said, still unsure of what to think of it all. Matt NEVER did anything like this, ever.
"Now sit down, eat, enjoy," Matt said, almost fake
"Ok," Micki mumbled, following the orders.
"Mmmm... that was good," Micki said, smiling as she finished her breakfast.
"Good," Matt said. He had been sitting in front of her staring at her the whole time she had been eating, it almost annoyed her.
I'll just clean up and get a shower," Micki said, standing up and grabbing her plate.
"No, I'll do it," Matt said, standing up and taking the plate from her.
"Ok, thanks," she said.
"I love you, Micki," he said, sincerely.
"I love you too, Matt," she returned the compliment.
Micki walked off down the hallway and disappeared into the bathroom.
Morning at A.J.'s...
A.J. moaned as the morning sunlight poured into the bedroom. He woke and sat up, absorbing everything around him. The first thought in his head was Micki. He couldn't understand why he was thinking about her... he didn't even know her! A.J. got out of bed and made his way to the bathroom where he then took a shower and got dressed. He felt refreshed when he walked into the kitchen and looked for something to eat. As he was trying to decide what to have, his phone rang.
He glanced quickly at the clock before answering, it was 10:46. He picked up the cordless phone and pressed the talk button. "Hello?" he answered, still looking for something to eat.
"Hey man, want to go to the mall?" his friend and coworker, Howie said on the other line.
"Sure man, wanna meet at the mall?" A.J. asked.
"Sure, how's thirty minutes?" Howie asked.
"Sounds good,"A.J. agreed.
The two hung up with each other and A.J. continued the hunt on food. But found nothing. He started to wonder who all was going to the mall with him and Howie. He shrugged to himself and decided on a bowl of cereal. He poured himself a bowl and began to eat. As he ate he thought continuously about Micki. He smiled to himself as he remembered her smile. He wondered if she wanted him to call her.
"What if she was taken?" he kept thinking.
He tried his best to ignore his thoughts as he drove to the mall. But was unsuccessful. He saw Howie waiting for him, with Kevin next to him. None of the other guys were anywhere in sight. A.J. walked up to the guys and smiled.
"What's up?" Kevin asked, as A.J. approached him and Howie.
