Chapter Four

"What do you think you are doing?

"You can't keep running away-please." I looked into Maria's eyes and pleaded.

"People are staring, Howie." She nodded toward the people who were giving us looks as they walked by.

"Fine," I muttered, I opened the door of the other room (the guys were in the other one) and let Maria in. I locked the door that joined the two rooms together so the guys wouldn't come in and interupt us. Maria sat on the bed and ran her fingers through her hair. Everything she did made me want her so bad. She changed from earlier. She was wearing pajama pants and a tight white tank top.

"Why'd you come?" I asked her.

"I wanted to see you," She brought her eyes up to mine and they locked.

"I'm glad you came," I told her sincerely.

"Me too." And then we sat there. It seemed like hours before she said,

"I was scared." I regained my attention and looked at her curiously.

"Of?" She brushed a strand of hair out of her eyes before replying.

"I've never really...had feelings for someone so strongly when I just met them, and I never imagined that someone like you-someone famous would have feelings for me," she stopped, then added, "You do have feelings for me, right?"

I looked at her and smiled,"of course." Then my mind began to wander, I couldn't lead this girl on, I was leaving tomorrow night. She leaned over and kissed me softly. I couldn't control it, it was too hard. She wrapped her arms around my neck and parted my lips with her eager tongue. My arms found their way to her tiny waist and rubbing up her back. She tasted great and as my lips found their way to the base of her neck I inhaled the amazing smell of Vanilla and flowers and I pulled away.

"What is it?" She asked, worried.

"I can't." I whispered.

"Can't what?"

"Can't be here with you, I'm leaving tomorrow."

I watched her eyes fill with tears and I felt my heart breaking.

"Maybe..." She started. I looked at her questioningly.

"What?"

"I think, I," She stopped. "I wouldn't mind, seeing you again, or talking to you..."

My smile brightened. "I would love to see you again, and be with you. Life on the road is just so hard. I couldn't go every day knowing you were somewhere else." I put my hand on her neck.

"Then I won't be." She kissed me tenderly and walked out of the room and out of my life. Or so I thought...
