*Elsewhere before AJ's call to Melissa*
"So, how is Melissa?" AJ asked, he was talking on the phone with Melissa's father.
"Good, she's getting by," he replied.
"That's good. Are the boys still believing everything?" AJ asked.
"Yeah, they're still thinking that Shawn is their brother. They dont know that you sent him here to help her," he replied.
*In the next room*
"What?!" Anthony shouted.
"What's wrong with you?" James asked, looking at him like he was dumb.
"Shawn isnt our brother," Anthony replied.
"What are you talking about?"
"Dad's talking to that prick AJ," Anthony said.
"What's he saying?" Robert asked.
"I dont know, shut up bitch so I can listen," Anthony snapped.
The two boys automatically shut up and Anthony picked up the phone that was sitting next to him and listened.
"Man, I wish they would've never threatened our lives," AJ said.
"Well, it's a good thing you sent Shawn with her. I dont know if these boys can hold out any longer. They cant stand the very sight of their sister," he replied.
"Well, Im glad I sent Shawn to watch after her. I know he'll take care of her. Shawn's girlfriend misses him, but she understands what is going on. Melissa really believes Im dating her and I guess the boys think I am too, which is good. Maybe this whole thing will be over with when Melissa isnt hurt anymore. I really didnt want to hurt her," AJ said.
"I know, but it's the best thing to do. The boys are really pissed. They'd do anything to keep you two apart and I guess it's working for them."
Anthony hung up the phone and stormed out of the room.
"What the fuck?!" he shouted to his father.
"What?" he asked looking at Anthony.
"Shawn isnt our brother? He's helping Melissa?" he asked.
"Anthony..." his father warned.
"Fuck that shit! I'm going over there to fuck both of them up. I dont care if she has a baby or not. She's getting her ass beat for betraying the gang and he's getting his ass beat for protecting her, from her own brothers," he yelled.
"AJ call Shawn and get them out of the apartment!" he yelled and hung up the phone.
"Anthony, you need to calm down. This is your sister we're talking about. You should be ashamed that you are taking away her happiness," he yelled.
"She was in our gang and then she left for that fucking bitch from another gang. We gave her a choice and she choose boyfriend over family. I dont care who you are, you dont betray me," Anthony yelled.
"Anthony, you wont hurt your sister," his dad told him.
"You might've been able to stop me at the hospital, but you're not going to stop me now. Boys! Let's go!" Anthony called. Robert and James walked out of the room, prepared to go wherever their leader was taking them.
*AJ's*
"Son of a..." AJ said, dialing the familiar numbers of the restuarant Shawn worked in.
"Hello..." AJ didnt let the lady finish before asking for Shawn and declaring it an emergency.
"Hello?" Shawn asked, sounding out of breath.
"I dont care what the fuck you are doing. Go home and get Melissa out of that apartment. I swear to G-d, if anything happens to her..." AJ said.
"What are you talking about man?" Shawn asked confused.
"Anthony and the boys are on their way to the apartment, get over there and get her and the baby out. Im going to call her and make sure they dont get there before you. Hurry man," AJ said and hung up. Shawn dropped everything and ran towards the apartment; down the two usually short blocks, but today seemed much longer, to the apartment. It would take her brothers at least fifteen minutes to get there and if AJ called right after, he had ten minutes to spare, hopefully Melissa was dressed and ready to go.
