Wall Art
I did not have the benefit of art lessons as a child growing up in Kentucky. The schools I attended did not offer any type of art instruction. I always knew that someday I would learn, but really thought it would have to wait until I reached retirement age. A few years ago I finally realized someday was now and I didn't have to wait any longer. Shortly thereafter I embarked on a journey of wonder, joy, frustation and fulfillment. Within a short time, much to my amazement, I found that I was actually selling my art. I will never be a master. I do not have the focus and dedication that it takes to become a master of anything. My interests are far too varied. I am a confirmed dabbler! I see possibilities everywhere for creativity and my imagination takes inspiration and runs with it. I am content to be that way, it makes for a very interesting life. So, this is a brief explanation of how I came to paint and why my paintings are not *professional renderings*. I would like to say this however; if I can become a painter (entirely self taught) anyone can! Try it, you might just surprise yourself......
