Richmond
Capital of Virginia. A fairly nice little city on the James River, known for being the capital of the Confederacy, tobacco, and Edgar Allan Poe. What struck me the most about this city was the illustration of the distriubution of wealth. You can walk down a fairly ghetto-y street and two blocks over on a parallel street is nice houses, skyscrapers, expensive hotels.
