We are the future of racecar and automotive engineering - the University of Central Florida chapter of the society of Automotive Engineers. We are a team of engineering students that dedicates our time to the advancement of vehicle design through the Formula SAE design competition. The UCF Formula SAE team designs, fabricates, and supports a formula style racecar for regional competition in Sports Car Club of America and annual international collegiate design competitions in the United Stated and United Kingdom. Restrictions are placed on the car frame and engine testing the knowledge, creativity, and imagination of the student engineers. Four cycle engines up to 610cc can be turbocharged or supercharged to add a new dimension to the challenge of engine design. The vehicles are judged in three different categories: static inspection and engineering design, solo performance trails, and high-performance track endurance.
