Children's Ministries

Nursery
Nursery care is provided at all services for children through age 3. The nursery provides a warm, caring environment for children. Our nursery includes a wide variety of playtime activities and equipment, as well as videos, and creative activities appropriate for each age group.

Sunday School
At First Assembly, classes are arranged by grade level. Curriculum, crafts, and activities are designed specifically for each age group. Sunday school meets from 9:30 - 10:30 AM.

KICS Club (Kids In Christ's Service)

KICS is a fun filled hour following Sunday Morning Praise & Worship. Through Bible stories, object lessons and a time of prayer, these children, ages 7 - 12, learn the most important lesson of all, how to have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

KICS Club meets after Praise & Worship every Sunday Morning.

Wednesday Night Programs

Rainbow Club
This is a program for 3 and 4-year old boys and girls. Pre-schoolers learn through a variety of interactive instruction centers.

Royal Rangers
Royal Rangers is a scouting program for boys ages 5-12. Boys learn camping and outdoor skills in this Bible-based program. The Rangers meet in their own building on the church grounds each Wednesday night at 7:00 PM.

Straight Arrows (ages 5-6)
This class uses an Indian theme to provide a storehouse of ideas for special emphases and activities.

Buckaroos (ages 7-8)
This program features a Western theme. A Buckaroo learns both the fundamental truth of the Bible and the Royal Rangers ministry.

Pioneers (ages 9-11)
A Pioneer participates in challenging activities such as camping, hiking, first aid, nature study, crafts, Bible study, and Christian service. Once a Pioneer earns the top advancement in his age group, he can work along with older boys in earning advanced awards. Among the numerous advanced awards are Computer Science, Solar Science, Space Exploration, Safety, Plumbing, Art, and Leather Craft.

Trailblazers (ages 12-14):
This adventure trail offers a variety of new campcraft skills and opportunities. The program enables the Trailblazer to become self-reliant and appreciative of God by developing his outdoor knowledge and skill.

Missionettes
Missionettes is a thrilling experience! From Daisies through Senior Missionettes the programs offer girls (kindergarten through junior high) opportunities to enjoy a well-rounded club program. At the meetings, girls participate in exciting group activities and share new adventures in learning.

Through Missionettes, girls receive an increasing awareness of God's love. All become acquainted with both home and foreign missions, and are guided in developing Christian relationships.

Daisies (Kindergarten - Grade 1)
This two-year program is the youngest Missionettes club. The learning activities emphasize the child's relationship to God, family, and friends. Seasonal emphases are also included.

The incentive program for Daisies includes: Loving, Caring, Giving, Sharing, Learning, and Thanking. Merit badges are earned for each.

Daisies enjoy a variety of stories, Bible verse memorization, music, crafts, and games.

Prims (Grades 2 and 3)
Girls of Prims age are great joiners! They like to belong to Prims, and they appreciate the six badges they may earn in their individual achievement program. The program is divided into the following four-month units: Nature and Animals, Helpers, My Church, Music, Missions, and Safety.

Bible and missionary stories, music, lessons, games, and crafts are a part of the Prims program. These are correlated to present an interesting and well-balanced program for girls.

Juniors (Grades 4-6) and Seniors (Junior High)
The challenging four-step achievement program for Juniors and Seniors is the Stairway to the Stars. The steps are named for four Bible women: Susanna, Tabitha, Anna, and Ruth. The Stairway climb is a combination of work and entertaining learning activities all contributing to a girl's spiritual and social development. Juniors and Seniors may also earn a series of eight Extra-Activity badges and 16 Half-Circle badges. Categories include Music, First Aid, Bicycling, and many more.
