          A laid-back atmosphere prevail much of the city, imbuing it with sense of timelessness. Each day begins with the people involving themselves in various economic pursuit and sundry tasks, with everyone trying to get everything done before sunset so as to enjoy the many favorite pastimes with friends and families.

One of the city's most important annual events is the Sinadya Festival, which commemorates the Feast of our Lady of Immaculate Conception on December 8.The word Sinadya means, "let's be happy" The festival showcases civic, cultural that embody the spirit of the Capizeno. Among the many highlights of the fiesta are the enchanting night-time fluvial parade among Panay river complimented by a spectacular display of fireworks, Comparza night, parade of the higantes, and the Coronation of the fiesta Queen.

CULTURAL

        Ang Panublion (Roxas City Museum), Roxas City; built in 1910 as a water tank; has memorabilia of illustrious sons and daughters of Roxas City; collections of religious icons, artifacts and artworks.

        Mundo Dance, Tapaz dance of the mountain tribe known as Mundo, vanishing remnants of pre-Malayan Indonesian immigrants to Panay.
