Sangschule - the West Lothian Traditional Song Group
	Programme for August to December 2024
	We meet in the Drama Unit, Linlithgow Academy, Braehead Road, Linlithgow EH49 6EH. We use either the Drama Studio or the adjacent classroom (A28), and there are signs to guide you to the right place. Full details and maps on our Home Page. We meet from 7.30 pm to 9.30 pm.

Wed 21st August 2024	Delighted to start our autumn term with Jo Miller, a great singer, experienced teachers and someone with lots of knowledge about songs and singers. A wee reminder for those who haven't been before that we certainly don't have auditions, that we will provide the words, and that everyone is welcome, whatever their level of confidence in their singing ability.
Wed 28th August 2024	Jo Miller, with more great songs. Jo has tutored us quite a few times, and has a wonderful repertoire of songs, some of which have become firm favourites of Sangschule.
Wed 4th September 2024	Our last session for a wee while with Jo Miller. She is much in demand, and we have to fit around her other commitments!
Wed 11th September 2024	Late summer and autumn songs, brought along and led by members of Sangschule.
Wed 18th September 2024	Preparation for 'Joy and Light' concert (Friday 13th December in Dunblane). Even if you aren't able to join us at that event, we have three cracking songs, with some simple harmonies you can try out if you like. Well worth trying something new!
Wed 25th September 2024	Non-tutor night on the theme "Songs of hills and mountains". We'll try a few of our favourites and have a look at a couple of less familiar songs. In Drama Studio - just follow the signs.

Wed 9th October 2024	Preparation for 'Joy and Light' concert, and some other songs as well!

Wed 30th October 2024	A non-tutor night on the theme 'The stages of life'. (In Drama Studio)
Wed 6th November 2024	Tutor night with Susie Kelly.
Wed 13th November 2024	Non-tutor night: our theme is songs about birds.
Wed 20th November 2024	Tutor night with Susie Kelly.
Wed 27th November 2024	Non-tutor night on the topic of 'songs of the sea and fishing' – in the Drama Studio. Same door as usual, and follow the signs.
Wed 4th December 2024	For the first time in far too long, a tutor night with Scott Gardiner. More from him after New Year as well.
Wed 11th December 2024	Rehearsal for 'Joy and Light' concert.
Fri 13th December 2024	Sangschule takes part in 'Joy and Light' concert in Victoria Halls, Dunblane.
Wednesdays 18th December 2024	Christmas Party. Members - watch your emails! Please note this does NOT take place in the Academy.
