BDU Behind the Wheel Me, aged about two years, "driving" Dad’s friend’s Simca Aronde. Very avant-garde these French car - makers; note the seat belt in a car in 1964. Dad was a racing driver at that time and no doubt would have been tickled that I was taking an interest so early. Of course, every kid will leap behind the wheel and saw madly from left to right, given the chance, so I was no doubt nothing special. But it really is a cute picture, right? |
