This was a cottage for ladies to change from their bathing costumes
so the men wouldn't see them, during victorian times.
This is the big castle, I forgot its name, its on the Dartmouth side
of the river, right where it joins the sea.
This is a front view of the castle, the white tower on the left is a modern building, from WW2 I think.
This is the Castle on the Kingswear side of the river. In ancient times there was a chain the sat at on the river bottom that stretched between the two castles and when enemy ships would come up the river form the sea they would pull the chain up and the ships would be crushed when they ran into it.
This looks like it belongs to the little castle but in fact it is from WW2. It hides some sort of anti-aircraft gun or something.
This is Kingswear across the river from Dartmouth. Its where all the rich people live. The house in the far left hand corner is in the movie "The French Lieutenant's Woman". Apparently in the movie Meryl Streep is in that house and you can see the big castle through the window behind her.
