Our Purpose

Our purpose is to share information and provide support for families engaged in or considering home education.

Our Goal

The goal of the Christian Homeschool Adventurers is to: Encourage mutual support and fellowship for home educators. Expand educational opportunities for families. Promote curriculum review and exchange of resources and ideas. Encourage social and educational group activities to develop the interpersonal skills and promote positive friendships. Provide new homeschoolers with information and encouragement. Promote the concept of home education and encourage a good reputation in the community.

Distinctives

I. We accept God's Word as contained in the Old and New Testaments as the only authority for faith and life. In that CHA is a Christian organization, obviously we will have a somewhat unique perspective on family life in general and on home education in particular. As a group our goals must conform to the goals God has revealed for our families. Our lifestyles should seek to glorify Jesus Christ and our counsel must rest squarely on the Word of God. Our goal is not to be an exclusive club, but rather, to draw people by our godly conduct and purpose. "Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father which is in heaven." Matthew 5:16

II. We advocate compliance concerning the Georgian Compulsory Education Law as long as scriptural principles are not violated. We have a good law which is not highly restrictive and which has been a model for many states across our nation. Therefore, we encourage all active members of CHA to comply faithfully to our state's requirements of monthly attendance reporting, periodic testing, and annual assessments.
