This is a Souvenir Program from a Marine Corps League special presentation of the movie "GUNG HO" at the Palace Theater, Chicago,IL. on February 25, 1944. GUNG HO starred Noah Beery, Jr., Randolph Scott, Allan Curtis, and Grace McDonald. Note the torn cover. The program was found stuck in a box in Rhonda's Grandmothers Attic. Rhonda's Grandfather, Ben Logan, was also a MARINE.

This is the inside page of the same program. Note the "DEVIL DOG" at the bottom of the page. This program shows all kinds of Marine Corps history, including Uniforms, Rank Structure, and recruiting posters for men and women. It also has ads from well wishers all over Chicago.

This book is a 1948 2nd edition of the Marine Corps Institute Handbook. It lists all of the classes available to Marines by correspondence. The courses ranged from High School Diploma, to Aviation Electrician, to Pipe Fitter. All Marines were, and are still, encouraged to utilize MCI to advance their career.
