He enlisted on 1861
He was captured at Shelbyville, Tennessee in 1863.He was released from Camp Chase POW Camp in May of 1865.

He served with the 23rd Georgia Infantry.
He was from Walker County Georgia.


Captain John Riley O'Steen

He served with Company G of the 50th Infantry Regiment, The Clinch Volunteers.
He died of wounds received at the battle of Antetium, on Sept 23,1862 in Frederick Maryland.

He was released on June 13,1865.
