The Conseco Fieldhouse is a home stadium of the Indiana Pacers of the pro NBA in Indianapolis , Indiana . Occupying the area of 750,000 square feet with the capacity of accommodating 18,345 people, the stadium was inaugurated on 6 th November 1999. The stadium is built on the modern lines with all the amenities accessible. But there is something more which adds charm to this infrastructure. It is an old striking picture of a building which is only one of its kind in today's sports society. To give it an exceptional look an additional effort was made.

The covering of the arena is 15 stories high. To set up the tresses on top of the building, world's largest crane was fetched. To bring such a mammoth crane on the field was a complex task. So it was dismantled before bringing in to the stadium and was again assembled on the ground level inside the arena.

The field for its erection involved the efforts of 1200 workers. The arena in offering its conveniences is fashionably nostalgic and first of its kind. More than 100 points of sale for concessions have been installed in the stadium. The restrooms are very cozy and snuggling and are completely accessible. The Founder's Suite Level is 16 rows from Courtside seating. The arena also offers 69 luxury suites sold and two hospitality suites available on the rental basis.

The miscellaneous facilities for the fans are the 36 payphones easily approachable, 3 ATM machines, eight elevators, TDD Telephones located on all levels, retractable seats, 3 safety aid offices placed tactically throughout the arena. Right in the entry pavilion the box office has 18 ticket windows to avoid the hassles. To make the events more audible assisting listening devices and sign language interpreters have also been set up. There are 82 stereo amplifiers in the seating area of Conseco Fieldhouse with two stereo amplifiers on each level. The caretaker staff entertains the requirements of the visitors. To avoid the winter blues heating channels have been set up under the plaza.

The foundation of the stadium was kept on July 22, 1997. The arena also serves as a home to the Indiana Firebirds of the Arena Football League.
