QUEST SOLUTION: | STUDY A MAGREEB
Promotion: This quest is not required to advance in the game, but is required for promotion to Scholar.
Summary: In order to prove your worth to become a Scholar, you must find a member of the rare species called "Magreeb" and return with information about it.
How to do: There is a Magreeb baby in the wilderness of Thjorgard. Go outside the city and look at the map. You should see two areas with a lake. The Magreeb baby is in the easternmost of these lake areas (the one farthest away). Go on out to that lake area and study (encounter) the Magreeb. It will run away. Let it go (you don't have to kill the Magreeb to fulfill the quest), and return to Tymon the Nord at the Academy to report your findings. Afterwards, you will need to see Johannes Bem (also at the university) for your promotion.
Note: As an alternative to encountering the Magreeb baby in Thjorgard, you can go to Lindisfarne, where the countryside is crawling with Magreebs of all difficulties, and study one of them.
