interesting place to play cricket at times particularly when one of the 'locals' doesn't let a silly thing like
a league cricket match get in the way of his shortcut across the field to the pub. Despite these occasional interruptions
I still think it is a great place to play cricket and the pitch is certainly one of the best around with consistent
bounce allowing the batsmen to play their shots as well as offering plenty of pace to keep the bowlers interested.
League Cricket
Rowner Cricket Club fields two league teams on
Saturdays in the Hampshire Cricket League.

Indoor League Cricket
Rowner Cricket Club also has a team in division
four of the South East Hants (Fareham) Indoor Cricket League.

Friendly Cricket
Captain: Jim Kemp
In addition to the league teams on Saturdays, Rowner also run a friendly team on Sundays. The team is a combination
of league players from both Saturday sides as well as other players who play only on Sundays and is looked upon
as a further breeding ground for some of our more promising junior players under the watchful eye of the Fareham
Schoolmaster Jim Kemp. It is a useful way of introducing them to the adult game and allowing them to test their
skills away from Colts cricket.

15 level.
The Committee
As with most clubs the men behind the scenes
are vitally important to the smooth running of the season. Without the hard work of the committee members the club
would cease to function. The elected committee of Rowner Cricket Club is as follows
