THE BOYS AT THE SPEARPOINT

Reconnaissance units are independent company sized assets attached at divisional and brigade level. They are designed to be able to operate independently for short periods until re-enforced. The companies are organised as follows:-

HQ platoon :-

                                     command section:- 1 x admin element, 1 x light A.A. element , 1 x apc

                                        support section:- 2 x heavy weapons elements   (these may be attached to the recce platoon)

This unit is famous for it's cigar smoking senior officer

                Close support armour section:- 2 x CS tanks

Recce troop:-

                                              Inf sections:- 4 x inf sections, 3 x A.P.C

Lt Armour troop:-

                                     anti tank section:- 3 x laser armed light tanks

Lt art troop:-

                                        MRLS section:- 3 x mrls launchers

That completes the current T.O.E. of the recce company but it is currently under review and may be subject to change.
