This is the office where we monitor the war. All major ship sightings, troop movements, speeches, etc. are documented and stored here. We also have been watching you and a few other pilots, because you all show great potential.

While Mihyaeru went off to another portion of Tembe to find information on OZ, Asano, Hisamitsu, and Jubei ventured off to Antarctica to bury the power cell they had retrieved from the clutches of OZ. On the way, they overheard a man speaking of a scavenger hunt for mobile suit pilots taking place in antarctica, where the winner gets a cash prize plus gets to keep all the items they find. Too tempting to pass up, the trio decided to join in, since they were going to antarctica anyway.
They fared rather poorly, but made it out with a nice Buster Shield. Just as they were about to finish up and bury the power cell, a rogue group of contestants decided to break the no-fighting rule and attack them for their shield! Two Leos and a Cancer confronted the team, which only had two mobile suits since Asano's Roadrunner was destroyed. Asano switched seats with Hisamitsu to pilot the mobile suit, since he was better with regards to speed. Unfortunately, he was unused to the stiff controls, which resulted in many a poor beam saber slash. While the land suits duked it out on the ice, the Cancer decided to go under it, to attack from below and plunge them into the icy depths. The leader managed to get Jubei square in the face with thrown rocks three times. Jubei was not pleased. Eventually, they eliminated the two Leos, leaving the cancer somewhere under the ice, ready to attack them. In such a perilous situation, they did the smart thing...they left (not before grabbing a penguin for Hisamitsu). Which probably disappointed the cancer terribly when he popped up through the ice and was alone.
They lost the competition, but they still got to keep most of their items. At Meister L's house, they found a sad scene. The house had been attacked, and L was dead. He had left instructions for them, so they were off to Africa to hide out.
But they took Meister L's Mazda and his corpse with them.
Parking their Roadrunners in a cave, they made their way into town only to find that OZ was sending Zechs Merquise after them with a regiment of mobile suits. Bad news! They decided that an upgrade was in order. New mobile suits! Maganac was the hot item of the day, cleaning out almost all of their money. Time to hit the general store.
All was going fine until Jubei tried to steal a pocket knife out of the storekeeper's hands. And that was going to be fine...until Hisamitsu asked Jubei to help him throw L's corpse through the store window. Then all hell broke loose. The storekeeper took his personal katana and chased after a fleeing Hisamitsu, while Jubei decided to steal some stuff while he was away. Which set off an alarm. Which called the cops to the scene. Asano, shocked and exceedingly angry, let Jubei have the keys to the Mazda to get away. The storekeeper caught up with Hisamitsu, and he was arrested. Jubei lost the cops and discovered that OZ was surrounding the city! After meeting up with Asano, they bailed Hisamitsu out. Exiting the city was not an option, so they will have to sneak out. The nearby Gundamium mine will do the trick, with its underground tunnel that they believe will lead out to the cave that houses Asano's (formerly Hisamitu's) roadrunner. They apologize to the storekeeper, who makes a deal with them. He'll get them into the mine if they search the world for different colors of gundamium and bring them to him. They agree. Night falls, and the team prepares to escape from this sticky situation.
