Remember me whenever you see a sunrise,
Remember me whenever you see a star,
Remember me whenever you see a rainbow
Or woods in autumn colors from afar.
Remember me whenever you see the roses
Or seagulls sailing high in a sky of blue.
Remember me whenever you see waves
Shining in the sun.
And remember, I'll be remembering you!
Remember me whenever you see a teardrop,
Or meadows still wet with the morning dew.
Remember me whenever you feel love
Growing in your heart.
And remember, I'll be remembering you!
(Deanna Edwards)
When the good Lord was creating mothers,
he was into his 6th day of overtime,
when the angel appeared and said "You're
doing alot of fiddling around on this one!"
And the Lord said,
"Have you read the specs on this order?
She has to be completely washable, but not plastic;
Have 180 movable parts...all replaceable;
Run on black coffee and leftovers;
Have a lap that disappears when she stands up;
A kiss that can cure anything from a broken leg
to a disappointed love affair;
and six pairs of hands".
The angel shook her head slowly and said,
"Six pairs of hands..no way"
"It's not the hands that are causing me
the problems" said the Lord.
"It's the 3 pairs of eyes
that mothers have to have."
"That's on the standard model?" asked the angel.
The Lord nodded. "One pair that sees through
closed doors when she asks,
'What are you kids doing in there?'
when she already knows. Another here
in the back of her head
that sees what she shouldn't
but what she has to know,
and of course the ones here
in front that can look at a child
when he goofs up and say
'I understand and I love you'
without so much as uttering a word"
"Lord" said the angel,
touching his sleeve gently,
"Come to bed. Tomorrow...."
"I can't" said the Lord.
"I am so close to creating
something so close to myself.
Already I have one that
heals herself when she is sick...
can feed a family
of 6 on one pound of hamburger meat......
and can get a nine year old
to stand under the shower".
The Angel circled the model of a mother
very slowly, "It's too soft" she sighed.
"But tough!" said the Lord excitedly.
"You cannot imagine what
this mother can do or endure"
"Can it think?" asked the angel.
"Not only think but it can reason
and compromise" said the creator.
Finally, the angel bent over
and ran her fingers across her cheek.
"There's a leak" she pronounced.
"I said you were trying to
put too much into this model."
"It's not a leak" said the Lord,
"It's a tear."
"What's that for?"
"It is for joy,
sadness,
disappointment,
pain,
loneliness
and pride."
"You are a genius" said the angel.
The Lord looked somber.
"I didn't put it there."

When I ask you to listen to me and
you start giving advice,
you have not done what I asked.
When I ask you to listen to me and
you begin to tell
me why I shouldn't feel that way,
you are trampling on my feelings.
When I ask you to listen to me and
you feel that you have to do something
to solve my problem-
you have failed me, strange as that may seem.
Listen! All I asked was that you listen;
not talk or do -- just hear me.
Advice is cheap:
36 cents will get you both
Dear Abby and Billy Graham
in the same newspaper.
And I can do for myself; I'm not helpless.
Maybe discouraged and faltering,
but not helpless.
When you do something for me that I can
and need to do for myself,
you contribute to my fear and weakness.
But when you accept as a simple fact
that I do feel what I feel,
no matter how irrational,
then I can quit trying to convince you
and can get about the business
of understanding what's behind
this irrational feeling.
Irrational feelings make sense when we
understand what's behind them.
So, please listen and just hear me.
And if you want to talk,
wait a minute for your turn,
and I'll listen to you.
As children bring their broken toys
with tears for us to mend,
I brought my broken dreams to God
because he was my friend.
But then instead of leaving Him
to peace to work alone,
I hung around and tried to help
with ways that were my own.
At last I snatched them back and cried,
"How can you be so slow!"
"My child," He said, "What could I do?
You never let them go."
If I can endure for this minute
whatever is happening to me
No matter how heavy my heart is
or how dark the moment might be...
If I can but keep on believing what
I know in my heart to be true,
That darkness will fade with morning
and then this will pass away, too...
Then nothing can ever disturb me
or fill me with uncertain fear,
For as sure as night brings dawning,
my morning is bound to appear...
May you always have an angel by your side
Watching out for you in all the things you do,
Reminding you to keep believing in brighter days,
Finding ways for your wishes and dreams
to take you to beautiful places,
Giving you hope that is as certain as the sun,
Giving you the strength of serenity as your guide.
May you always have love
and comfort and courage,
And may you always have an angel by your side.
May you always have an angel by your side,
Someone there to catch you if you fall,
Encouraging your dreams,
Inspiring your happiness,
Holding your hand
and helping you through it all.
In all of our days, our lives are always changing.
Tears come along as well as smiles
along the roads you travel.
May the miles be a thousand times
more lovely than lonely.
May they give you the kind of gifts
that never, ever end:
someone wonderful to love
and a dear friend in whom you can confide.
May you have rainbows after every storm
May you have hopes to keep you warm,
and may you always
have an angel by your side

There’s one crude door in a corner there
It’s small and has no style.
I rarely give it half a glance;
It’s hardly worth my while.
I’d rather try the outer doors
They seem to offer more.
There’ll always be some time to try
That plain and simple door.
But one by one those other doors
Kept closing in my face.
And when, it seemed, they’d done their worst,
They left me in disgrace.
So then, when I could stand no more,
When I couldn't seem to do a thing;
I hurried to that crude, small door
Where I control the string.
I flung that portal open wide
There none but I could go.
And looked into the face of God
To see what Truth I know.
And there, within my mind, I thought
My dreams, which none could trod!
And then I went my way in peace,
And left the rest to God.
For He has ways I know not of;
He guides me day by day.
I live my life with faith and love,
For I have found my way.
So remember, friend, when life’s gone dry,
And your patience is wearing thin;
There’s always one last door to try
The door to your Great Within.
Behind that door lie all your dreams,
Your hopes and visions, too.
Life always starts with one of these,
Then shows you what to do.
So keep your vision strong and true,
No matter what men say.
Behind that one last door, dear friend,
You’ll surely find your way!

40% Of the things I worry about
will never happen,
for anxiety is the result of a tired mind.
30% Concern old decisions
which cannot be altered.
12% center in criticisms,
mostly untrue,
made by people who feel inferior.
10% is related to my health
which worsens while I worry.
08% is legitimate, showing that life
does have real problems which may be met
head on when I have eliminated
senseless worries.

What If..
God couldn't take the time
to bless us today, because
we couldn't take the time
to thank him yesterday....
What if..
God decided to stop
leading us tomorrow,
because we didn't
follow him today ....
What if..
God didn't walk with us today
because we failed to
recognize it as his day....
What if..
We never saw another flower bloom
because we grumbled
when God sent the rain....
What if..
God stopped loving and
caring for us because
we failed to love and care for others..
What if..
God took away the Bible
tomorrow because
we would not read it today ..
What if..
God took away His message
because we failed to listen
to the messenger....
What if..
God didn't send
His only begotten Son because
He wanted us to be
prepared to pay the price for sin...
What if..
the door of the church
was closed because
we did not open the door of our heart....
What if..
God stopped loving and
caring for us because
we failed to love and care for others....
What if..
God would not hear us today because
we would not listen
to Him yesterday....
What if..
God answered our prayers
the way we answer
His call to service....
What if..
God met our needs
the way we give
Him our lives....
What if..
We failed to send this message on....
There is a special place in life
That needs my humble skill,
A certain job I'm meant to do,
Which no one else can fulfill.
The time will be demanding,
And the pay is not too good
And yet I wouldn't change it
for a moment -- even if I could
There is a special place in life,
A goal I must attain,
A dream that I must follow,
Because I won't be back again.
There is a mark that I must leave,
However small it seems to be,
A legacy of love for those
Who follow after me.
There is a special place in life,
That only I may share,
A little path that bears my name,
Awaiting me somewhere.
There is a hand that I must hold,
A word that I must say,
A smile that I must give
For there are tears to blow away.
There is a special place in life
that I was meant to fill.
A sunny spot where flowers grow,
upon a windy hill.
There's always a tomorrow and the
best is yet to be,
And somewhere in this world,
I know there is a place for me.
...Every day, every minute, every breath
truly is...a gift from God.
You've got to dance like nobody's watching,
and love like it's never going to hurt.
People say true friends must always hold hands,
but true friends don't need to hold hands
because they know the other hand will
always be there.
