Marmalade Boy Multimedia

Have you seen articles about in Magazines in America. Since I live in America I discovered only one magazine with an article on Marmalade Boy. This magazine is called Protculture Addict. What caught my eye was the familiar picture on the cover.:)

I have heard of another magazine Marmalade Boy was featured in. It's called Animedia Fan Magazine, this is a japanese magazine and was released in October, 1994. There is a possibility you could get this magazine, but it's out of print. Unfortunately, i don't have it and can't find a picture of it, but i'll keep searching.

MB Products When Marmalade the anime got more popular, more Marmalade Boy merchandise were made and sold in Japan. The stuff that was sold were bags, stationary sets, make up, dolls, little figures, calenders, art books, mouse pads, towels, CDs, the ROBOT recorders, UFO dolls, kits, watches, cards, and more. It's tough for people to get all these things right? but i will talk about some of the products.

Produced by Bandai (but i don't know about the UFO catcher dolls).

There are four kinds of dolls, I think. The dolls are regular size (like Barbies), has an ID card and other accessories at their left hand side. Each box has their picture on your bottom left hand corner.

This doll at the right is the KID version of the Marmalade Boy characters. This doll is Yuu if you didn't already know. SO KAWAII! This one is in a yellow box, i have seen others in a red box. So i guess there are 2 kinds.

The third kind of doll is the MARMALADE-SCHOOL dolls, where the characters are in their school clothes (^-^)! They also get another pair of regular day clothes and some accessories on their right hand side. The box is blue with only Miki's picture at the bottom of your left hand corner.
There is also another kind of MARMALADE-SCHOOL dolls, these are in a white box with some blue. The character's picture in on your bottom right hand side. I know this because I came across an Arimi doll, it's hat, scarf, shoes, and other accessories is on it's left side. The problem is, the doll is not dressed up in it's school clothes.

Lastly, the UFO dolls. I swear UFO dolls make the character look so weird LOL, but they are cool. I have to find the site where I saw the dolls. All i know is that there are Miki, Yuu, Meiko, Ginta, Robot recorder, Arimi UFO dolls. I have to check if there are kappa-chan UFO dolls. -

MEMO JET: This memo lets make messages (english or japanese) then you could exchange messages to a friend or keep private messages in it. As long as you know the password, you have access to it.

BIORHYTHEMS COMPUTER: I found this one out at seanaune's site. I don't much about this product, i just know it's almost similar to miki's computer, it even has the button where it tells if the birthday dates are compatible, by precentile. Just press the two heart pieces.

PLAY SETS: Little toys for kids. You get little figures like Miki and Yuu, and you could get a setting of a log cabin, and little plastic toys, cups, chairs, books, something like that. There is also a picnic setting, cafe setting, and a house setting. If you need more accessories there are boxes with MB play set accessories.

PUZZLES: The puzzles are in a pink box, i don't know who produced them. Usually 100 pieces. Check out Seanaune's site to see it.

VIDEO GAMES: ONLY one Marmalade Boy video game was made. It was made by Nintendo of Japan in the year 1995 for the Super Famicom System. Soon I will show you the picture of the cartridge, hopefully. I do have the picture though.

ELECTRONIC PHONE BOOK: I knew about this one for a long time. This was produced by BANDAI. It has a blue and white pattern with yellow and pink flowers on it. There are 27 blue buttons with (english) letters on it, i don't know what's the 27th one. There is 10 red buttons, the ON & OFF buttons, and UP & DOWN buttons. The characters on it are meiko, miki, and arimi and then a bigger picture of Miki (in pigtails) winking with Yuu smiling at her, in a enclosed heart.

I know there are 8 volumes, A "Best" Album, and some singles. The 8 volumes are:

There are also singles of Marmalade Boy songs, for example "Moment".

SCROLLS: Actually there is one scroll i know. It's pink and says Marmalade Boy and Miki and Yuu in a heart between the words Marmalade Boy. Unfortunately this is an unlicensed product.

CARDS: There are many marmalade boy cards to name. Some cards boxes called bromides, i think. The box are colorful, there is of miki laughing at the top left hand corner and a picture of yuu and miki looking toward each other on the bottom right hand corner. It contains the cards. I have seen 11 of these boxes.

THE LOCKETS: There are 3 MB kind of lockets i have ever seen. The first one is the Toryo Locket which the girls owned. At the left of it is a picture of Miki and yuu kissing which is placed in a picture frame. The other one is the necklace toryo locket which the boys owned. There is a picture of yuu and miki just looking, and it's also in the golden frame. These lockets were produced by Bandai.

The third locket is hard to find. It's not in a carboard box. I have seen it a long time ago at an auction, i have to find the picture if i have it.

MODELS: First, i have seen the miki model box. It's #6 from the Beauty Selection Series. In the front there is the picture of the character in the front, and at the back is what the model will look like,the pieces of the model, etc. From Seanaune, the Yuu model is #7 and Beauty Selections is just a series with MB and other anime, meaning #6 and 7 is the only MB related models.

WATCHES:
These are only 4 watches, i don't know if there is more. All of these watches though, are electronic.

BOOKS: The books that come to mind is the Art Books, one is the Manga Art book and the other is the * <-- Koino Style Book. The Style book is in the MB gallery.

STICKERS: The Marmalade Boy stickers, has maybe one sheet each per packet. The stickers are said to be made by SEAL. The label at the top is blue and has the Marmalade Boy sign, then SEAL, and its number. The stickers has picture of the characters, items, hearts, words... The words could be in japanese or english depending which one you see. The border of the packet is MARMALADE BOY [pic of a heart] in blue font.

*<--CLOTH GOODS: Cloth goods are like small towels or hand towels. The Marmalade Boy Towels usually has the characters as chibis and is very cute but looks weird because of the colors. Also all the towels has "Marmalade Boy" on them.

KEYCHAINS: These keychains i am going to talk about isn't from Sean Aune's site. The keychains are like small UFO dolls on a keychain... and they are very very kawaii!! they are all attached to a RED tag which says marmalade boy and other info. It's like tags on plush dolls.
