Here are some ideas to keep in mind.......
Keep An Open Mind - The mind is like an umbrella, it works best when open (and you end up all wet if you choose to keep it closed). The following pages will more than likely challenge your current beliefs. At least do yourself the favor and keep your mind open to all possibilities.
Question Everything & Everyone - I'm not asking that you believe my words - no more than you should be expected to believe what is printed in the million or so Pagan books out there. Question my words, question theirs. Do not believe anything just because someone put it in print. Validated. Research. Dig. Learn. Take it upon yourself to do a little more than ingests word-trash verbatim as if you were a hungry chick waiting for the worm to be shoved down your throat for you. You have a brain so put it to work.
Learn To Be More Responsible - There are millions of Pagan books out there who all do a fairly poor job of validating their material. The greatest majority ask for you to believe their words - without a shred of proof that any of it is cerditable. More than that - most of it isn't. If you are going to use information to base your beliefs on, learn to be more responsible by asking the right questions.
Learn To Be Specific With Your Words !!! - If there is one thing I could teach Pagans is - words have power. Learn that your words - specific words - have real meaning and power behind them. When you talk about Wicca - talk about Wicca - not witchcraft, shamanism, or Paganism. One word cannot be used for another. Learn your verbage and learn to be specific. Do not assume that someone knows what you are talking about - more than likely they are not being specific either. So many lines have been blurred in Paganism today - and this is one of the greatest problems.
Invest In Some Real Text Books - If you are going to research Paganism - what better books to buy than HISTORY books - yes history books, you know, the ones used in Universities and Schools.
I know a lot of Pagans - and I know whats on their book shelves. Not many of them have any history books what so ever. Break yourself of the Pagan Book trap.
So there it is, just a few short ideas to keep you on the right track, and remember - this site is for you.
