Jason and I sat around eating, and talking story about dis and dat.  At one point he turned on his radio which has "the weather channel" and we listened to flash flood warnings for Kauai where 3/4 inch of rain fell in 15 minutes.  O`ahu they said was under a Thunder Storm watch which is not as bad as a warning.  The "weather man", acctually it sounds like a computer talking, said we could have thunder, lightening and maybe hail and of course rain.  We decided to "broadcast" this to the rest of the hikers by holding my radio next to his and as the report came in I held the "press to talk" button down.

Somewhere wayyyyyyyyyyyy ahead of us were Linda, Tom, Ina, Helen, Thea, Brenda, Paka, Roger, and I don't know who else, oh yea Kenji.  Jason and I decided that since it was past noon and the weather might get worse we would go no farther mauka.  This is what we saw looking mauka:

Around 1 pm Linda came down, saying she fell behind the others and came to a "scary" spot and decided she had enough.  She took a short lunch break with us.  This is a zoom of the above ridge with Linda coming up to "our" lunch spot.
