THE MASTER OF THE ARTS
RICHARD "HUK" PLANAS"

Here are some recent pictures of me and "Huk" Planas at a seminar held in Lemoore Ca at The Karate School. I was recently informed "Huk" was promoted to the rank of 10th degree black belt in the system of Kenpo Karate. For all those who don't know what that means, here is the answer. Tenth degree Black Belt is the highest "recorded" rank in Kenpo. It has been tradition in the past that a person promoted to "tenth degree" black belt in our style be recognized as "Grandmaster" or "Head" of our art. So what I gather from that is... Hey!... This guy knows his stuff. Well anyway congrads to him for that *applause*.

The seminars that "Huk" teaches are very informative and very interactive. I can only say that the material that is explained and demonstrated in these seminars can and does prove most useful for any person(s), martial artist or not, in many situations.

If you know a Kenpo-ist in your local area, I would encourage you to ask when "Huk" Planas is coming to your town, and attend one of his seminars. I promise that you can only gain from them.

Mr. Planas begain his training not so far from my home town in the city of Fresno.

In the late 1960's Mr. Planas had achieved the rank of "Brown Belt". During the same time he aslo moved to Pasadena, California to work for Mr. Parker. He was promoted by Mr. Parker from then on. In the year of 1985 he reached rank of 7th degree black belt. At that point he was given management of the Pasadena school.

Mr. Planas was later promoted to Eighth and Nineth degree black belt in the art of Kenpo. He is also fluent in many other martial arts. Because of this he has also attained the "un-official" tittle of "Master of the Arts".
