Pre or co requisites: P.U.L.S.E. Biology and P.U.L.S.E. Chemistry and acceptance into the P.U.L.S.E program in the 9th or 10th grade Selection criteria: Open only to P.U.L.S.E. participants- overall average of 85%, Math and Science average of 85% desired- approval by program coordinator, science and math teachers- Science Achievement scores and interview may be taken into consideration. Junior Year Courses: Advanced Placement Biology, Pre-Calculus, Regents Physics, English, Research and computer applications
Senior Year Courses: Advanced Placement Chemistry, Calculus, Anatomy and Physiology, Genetics DESCRIPTION: P.U.L.S.E. offers advanced high school and college level courses in the sciences in order to provide the finest preparation for a successful college experience in pre-medical studies. Coaching and other available resources are designed to maximize student success. In addition to the course listed below, the Bio-Chem major offers areas of study involving Research in Science and Volunteer Work in Hospitals. THE AVAILABILITY OF THE ABOVE COURSES IS ALWAYS DEPENDENT ON BOARD OF EDUCATION FUNDING.
