Brooklyn Technical High School’s procedures are based on the
following rights and responsibilities:

I. Students have the right to:
A. a meaningful learning experience.
B. an appropriate curriculum.
C. an educational environment that is safe from physical,
emotional, sexual or verbal abuse.
D. a discipline policy based on developmental and
progressive responses to inappropriate behavior.
E. consistent and fair discipline based on due process.
F. supportive services to help a student develop
self-discipline.

2. Students have a responsibility to:
A. be accountable for your own behavior
B. be an active learner by taking responsibility for
your own learning.
C. respect the rights of fellow students and school officials.
D. be supportive of the learning environment.
E. obey school rules.
F. attain the best possible level of academic
achievement.
H. respect school and community property.
I. seek support, if needed, from appropriate school
personnel.

3. Students are expected to:
A. respect the teachers, your fellow classmates
and school property.
B. attend school every day, be on time, have the
proper materials with you, and be ready to learn.
C. seek additional help if you do not understand
