Queer as Folk commissioned several custom-made items from Di.Va. Decoupage to be used in both Set Design and Wardrobe for seasons 3 and 4. These items include handbags, backpacks, cigarette cases, switchplates and jewelery. |
This lamp is called "SHADES OF WONDER" and was commissioned by QAF for set design in Lindsay and Melanie's house. The imagery is that of vintage botanical prints. The base is that of a dress mannequin and is adorned with a beige shade with feather trim.
This cigar box handbag is called "GARDEN OF MY HEART" and was commissioned by QAF for the character of Lindsay. Lindsay will be carrying one of these bags in scene #8 of episode 301, outside the Liberty Diner. The imagery is that of vintage botanical prints. The bag has a bamboo handle, celedon green tassle and robin egg blue lining.
This backpack is called "BEAT THE GREEKS" and is the first one Di.Va. has ever made! It was created for the flamboyant Emmett. Another design is in the works. The imagery is that of the ancient statues of Greece and Rome. It has electric blue fuzzy fabric shoulder straps, a cell phone case attached to the left shoulder, and more of the fun blue fuzzy lining!
This handbag is called "PROUD OF MY SON" and was sepcifically designed for the character of Debbie. The imagery is that of everything Debbie loves: her gay son, vibrant colors and clowns. It has a handstrung rainbow color glass beaded handle and fun yellow and black leopard print lining.
Another lamp was designed for Emmett's place... 'parts' of which were anatomically correct! 5 or 6 cigarette cases like the one on the left were designed as well. Most of the items pictured here are available for purchase. They are not in kept in stock, but they can be reproduced. Visit Di.Va. Decoupage for more information! |
