PrideVision TV logo A few PrideVision TV updates...

As reported previously, October 11 is the launch of Jawbreaker with Brad Fraser (one of QAF's new writers). According to the PrideVision website, "the one-hour talk/debate show promises to combine the best of chat fare, with a more edgy and potentially explosive version of Bill Maher's Politically Incorrect." Bruce Gray (ex-George Schickel) will appear on the third episode of Jawbreaker, which is titled "Aging Gay Gracefully" airing on October 25 at 10pm, along with Tom Diamond (Director), John Bentley Mays (Writer) and George Hislopp (long time gay activist/entrepreneur). For more information, visit the PrideVision Website.

Coincidentally, October 11 is also "Coming Out Day" and will be celebrated across Canada in various respects. The PrideVision 'Shooters' (hosts/VJs) will all be on hand at the PrideVision Studio, 500 Church St, Toronto at various points throughtout the day to share their own stories, interview each other for broadcast and to interview passers by. Everyone is welcome to drop by for the chance to be interviewed for PrideVision TV by Nina, Mathieu, Paul, Dr. Keith or Shannon about your coming out experience or just to say "hi".

FAB Magazine in Toronto, which often showcases the 'homegrown' Queer as Folk (remember the Brian & Justin covers last year?) is launching it's 200th issue next Wednesday, October 9 and PrideVision Shooter Mathieu Chantelois (former 'Lofter' and host of SoGayTV) will be there to capture the dirt! Watch for an upcoming Shooter segment featuring the event.

Back by popular demand is the UK version of QAF, which will air in a new one-hour format (2 back-to-back episodes per timeslot) beginning this Saturday, October 5 at 7:00pm on PrideVision.

As if that weren't enough news for one day.... Scott Lowell's "blog" has been updated, and Peter Paige has posted a message to his fans on the "Connection" page of his official site as well. The cast are all back at work in Toronto this week, and even got together for a group dinner on Monday night. Check 'em out!

The Wake site has been updated with Production Notes on the making of the movie. This is a fascinating read, a story in itself, really! There is an interview with the filmmakers, in which Susan (Susie) Landau Finch talks about Gale Harold. "Roy wrote Kyle for Gale. We knew he would shine in the intense character arc that the role demands." High praise for their friend, indeed! We wish all those involved with the movie much success and good fortune at the screening this weekend.
