Storage Container
When we told people we were going to be building our own house, we
typically got the same two pieces of advice from most people we talked
to: [1] Buy a tractor and [2] Buy
a shed. We heeded both pieces of advice by getting our tractor in
January and a large transportainer in February, 2000. This marked
closing off the old road, because it was placed where it would block
off the north end.

Transportainer
Delivery - February 2000

![Truck approaching the north end of our property.](storage/truck_north_corner-sml.jpg) |
The articulated
semi-truck delivering our transportainer approached our land
from the North end, then drove down the new road, up the old,
and dropped it at the north end of the old road (blocking it
off)

old road, heading north for the drop! |

The truck has a
moving trailer - that allowed the driver to slowly lower the
transportainer. |

Right as the
transportainer dropped off the trailer - see the dust cloud! |
Our
"Portable" Garage

Well as you can
see, the tractor fits neatly inside the transportainer. We
also keep many of our tools in there, such as other tractor
implements, chainsaw, surveying equipment, etc,

In July 2001 -we
moved our storage shed - hence the term "portable" used
above! It really is...
