Jays encouraged about next season
The Blue Jays ended the season at a torrid pace, wrapping things up with their best winning streak of the season. After Sunday's 1-0 win over Detroit, which gave Toronto seven straight wins, the Jays started their offseason in jubilant fashion.
If you ask Carlos Tosca, though, it wasn't just a fitting finale. Tosca insists this is a new beginning, the dawn of a new era in Toronto baseball.
"We've got to take this into next year," he said. "I'm real proud of the way they played, I'm real proud of the way they ran through the finish line. But hopefully this is just a beginning of many good things for us."
