Information: The first gym leader is Brock. Brock trains Rock-type Pokémon and should be an easy enough battle if you chose a Squirtle or Bulbasaur. But, if you chose a Charmander you could be in for the long haul. Charmander's attacks are weak against Rock-type Pokémon. Should you beat him, he will hand over a TM 34 (Bide).

Badge Earned: Boulder Badge

Badge Ability: Gives your Pokémon a slight power boost and will let you use FLASH at any time in the game.
